Full Weekend 🔥 ❤️

Shape-shifting Saturday

Saturday started calmly, there seemed to be no party plans or any other attractive ones to take us away from a normal and peaceful home saturday. My wife and I were alone at home, some music was playing, outside was a bit cold, but there was a hot zone in the bedroom. There we were, doing circus acrobatics to warm up, guess you know what I mean. When the act ended, without applause, cause there was no audience, as you can imagine, hehehe, we heard a voice coming from down outside ( we live in a 3rd floor apartment), calling my wife's name. Still circus dressed and covered by some protective coat I took my head out through the balcony wall, there she was, my sons's mother and her boyfriend, both good friends of ours, so they asked, what are you doing?...circus!..I said, they both laughed and told me, get properly dressed you both, that we'll be waiting for you in the pines, kids are there already, party starts now!. We both moved like lightnings, party is a key word, we were tired from circus, but it didn't matter, word party had been said and that has the strange power to erase everything and turn you into a full energy charged party crazy one. I took the bike and in less of 10 minutes we were there. Pines are about 2 miles away from home, by the highway.

Bike's Keeper

It's a nice natural place perfect for picnics and any kind of outdoor party, people often go there to spend some peaceful time in contact with nature.

My lovely heart's keeper and circus partner after arriving the spot

A bunch of friends were there..., nature, beers, a bottle of Ballantine's, good music, a bonfire with a cauldron on top full of pieces of pigsking in their way to become pork crackling, besides some pieces of chicken and fish waiting on the line to be fried too. So, we joined in, kids were playing around everything they wanted to.

We graped a couple of drinks and got mixed, good chats fallowed, laughters, attempts of singing the lyrics of certain songs, a bit of dancing in the middle of the grass, just to have fun and fight cold in the process too.
The initial calmed saturday quitely shape-shifted, don't you think?.

We saw a beautiful sunset between drinks and jumps.

Kids eventually stopped playing at the grass and moved to where we were seated to have some snacks and find others ways to play above the sheets we had over there simulating a normal picnic. Night showed up quickly and joined us wearing a full shiny moon, as we kept fun alive between fire, smoke, good scents and drinks.

Being surrounded by friends and family in a blasting natural party enviorenment was amazing, we went home late that night, tired and a bit drunk, we had an amazing saturday time, but..., Sunday had prepared for us some stuff too, I'll tell you right away about that.

A Magnificent Sunday
An early morning and heavy awakening process preceeded, what would be, an awesome, interesting and wonderful sunday journey. During the last week, the thirty second edition of the International Book Fair was taking place in Havana, in Morro-Cabaña Park.
Well, the thing is, my wife, who's an actress and singer, was invited to work there this sunday and asked me to go with her. We live in Pinar del Río, about 70 miles away from the place, and after a long exhausting saturday, the idea of such a long bus trip that required a very early awakening full of preparations of those who were nearly dead, didn't sound so good. Some of you, my dear readers, might think...70 miles?...that's not that far..., but trust me, it is, here,... it is, in a who knows what year built bus...it is!...but...in spite of the denial of our bodies, alarm was programed to 5:00 am. My wife had already said yes, they were counting on her, she was counting on me, what could we do? Sacrifice was imminent, there was a call of duty at stake and we responded like art bloody warriors.
So, after all the early morning slow camera craziness, we finally got to jump into the bus and flew over the highway to reach our destiny, sleeping, most of the way, I gotta confess, but, don't blame us for that, we decided to close our eyes, look inside ourselves in the search of who knows what strenth,...and get some rest in the process.
But guess what? In the blinking of an eye we were just there.

Just arrived!!!
I've never been before to that place, just saw it now and then on television. That place was amazing, I mean, it's a castle!, a huge beautiful castle full books of all kinds, full of art thirsty people, full of history and beautiful stuff. I thought to my self when entering..." one piece of a day won't be enough to get to know and see every corner of this large monster". It wasn't in deed, but I did enjoyed it as much as I could. Stories were told, poetry was said, alive cuban music was played, it was a big shiny show, there were even magicians.

That was a wonderful encounter with art, being able to walk over the place, to feel the energy of that environment flowing through me. We danced salsa like a crazy ones, we had so much fun and of course, we bought some books too.

At the end of the day we were exhausted again, but were very happy for saying yes and having the chance of being part of that colored art party, glad to have had a different sunday, to have learned a bit more, of having fed our souls with so much of the art that the place was providing. It's nice sometimes mixing duties with pleasure without harming the former. That, was a great sunday experience I wanted to share with you my friends.
I hope you had enjoyed the reading as much as I enjoyed the weekend.Thank you for stopping by and take a time to read me. Greetings my Hive friends.

What a weekend you had. From circus, to parties, to a trip to Havana. Moments like this should be highly cherished and what other way is there to spend the weekend than with your family.

Greetings!

Hello, what a great weekend you had. Surrounded by friends and family. I love both places you were. The pine trees are great for relaxing and enjoying a nice picnic. And the book fair with that magical charm of being near the sea looking at the city and enjoying cultural proposals is phenomenal. Thanks for sharing.
