Two Strange buildings in Whanganui

Okay I'll admit it, I spend a lot of time photographing buildings, so when I was in Whanganui New Zealand and these two buildings were in my eyeline I had to turn them into photos.

The first one is the most striking obviously, a ex-government building built in the early 1970's and of course so brutualist as things were back then, combine that with the winter colour changing trees and the big old puddle in the car park across the road and you have what I think is a great photo.

And then we have the low lying, classic mid century town hall building, another classic design from the 1960's, and wonderfully suited to a grey day
