Not from Today - 27th of February

This will be an irregular series of posts - in these posts I'm going to look back into my archive to see what photos I took this day in previous years

This 'Not from Today' but it is from the 27th of February

2002 - This is a shot taken from my first car - a Ford Capri (no not that Ford Capri, the Australia convertible which leaked a lot) I'm on my way home from work, near St Kilda, I would drive along the beach all the way to Aspendale or maybe it was Parkdale at this point, who knows, but life was probably pretty good, even if I was wearing a suit.

2010 - This is our old apartment in North Melbourne, Australia, we moved in in early February - was this a few weeks after to moved in, long enough to get ourselves organised, not quite long enough to put artwork on the walls. 16 years later and we don't live here anymore, but I recognize more than a few things in this photo.

2015 - Melbourne, the north side of the Yarra, the lanterns are up for Lunar new year, not at all sure why this photo is so washed out, maybe it was the style I liked at the time.

2016 - This is inside the Melbourne Mueseum, it's the Aboriginal Australia garden, I think I might have been there for White night (yes I get the irony). February is a fantastic time to be wandering around Melbourne at night, still warm, still some excitement in the air.

2017 - Looking West at the sunset from our newer apartment in North Melbourne, it would have been maybe 8pm or so at night in February, I couldn't take this shot anymore, firstly I'd likely be on a work call back to the bosses in the UK but also they have built maybe three different buildings that block this view now.

2020 - We didn't know what was about to hit us, in two weeks time we would be locked-down with COVID 19 for the first time. I was living my best life at this point, on holidays between jobs, not a care in the world - that didn't last.

And that my friends was my life on the 27th of February but not from today.
