This 'Not from Today' but it is from the 25th of April
This is a good time of year for me, it's a Public Holiday in Australia it's also often near Easter, which is to say I'm often of holidays a lot this time of year:
2019 - I'm actually not on Holiday here, but rather in a Forest about a hour's drive outside of Melbourne, why is there a Ballerina in this forest I guess there is some other amateur photographer who think the image of a Ballerina in a forest is powerful - I can't argue with that.
2011 - New York, it's hard to believe this was 15 years ago, I still have so many vivid memories from this trip. New York was an odd feeling it all felt so familiar from years of watching American TV but all alos felt so wonderful and fantastical, probably from watching years of American television.
2015 - Again not a holiday this is literally two doors up from my House, and yes I think of it as a companion piece to the above. This is the guy who runs Heartland Records, which is like High Fidelity come to life. For the Melbournians who might be reading this - this is also the location of the original Franco Cozzo store.
2018 - Also in Melbourne, I think I'm trying to be artistic, likely I was just a little bored because I didn't have to go to work and it is winter
2022 - This is near Daylesford which is about 2 hours out of Melbourne, which is a place we had been many times, I think this was the weekend we decided that we had clocked Daylesford, seen all there was to see, we haven't been back since, I wonder what has changed.
2004 - Where is this? What is this - I have no real idea, I mean it's a cool wooden trailer, sort of Carnivale style, but where is it taken? could be anywhere.
2018 - This one I do remember, it's taken in Melbourne are the corner of Queen and little Lonsdale street. and I thought it odd that some little kid had left his or her toys behind.
2003 - Argh the blurry era - digital camera have come a long way, here's what i wrote on this day 23 years ago
It’s amazing what I’ve forgot. It’s amazing how often I didn’t see the beauty of things until I really looked. and yes I would have painted that eye.
2025 - I promised you a lot of holidays and I'm not sure I delivered but let's end with one, it's Rotorua in New Zealand and it's the Blue Lake in Waimangu park.
And that my friends was my life on the 25th of April, genuinely all over the place both geographically but also stylistically. what a day - just not today
