Space age that somehow feel retro, like it was some vision of the future that never arrived, a nostalgia for an idea rather than a place or a reality

The real space age is the even present camera looking down at us for the seemingly transparent, but not really becuase we don't want anyone to see in glass box. There must be something profound about that but I'm not sure what it is
