Every regional town in Australia will have at least one, a statue and cenotaph, maybe a pool, a town hall, something to memorise, to commenocate, to mourn those lost in war.

The soldier, with the flag standing in the corner of the park in Beeac, the odd milk tanker rolling past but otherwise largely ignored. or the centrepiece of a much larger park in Colac, and park used as a place to stretch your legs and maybe have a sneaky sausage roll, and place to break up the long drive, and maybe, just maybe you will look up, and maybe you'll read the names and maybe you will remember, but let's face it, probably not.
