#Monomad Photography - Two buildings in Wellington New Zealand
It wasn't the best of weather in Wellington when I was there over the Easter Weekend, particularly not for me who like sun and deep shadows in my photography, no it was misty and wets and altogether grey. That's when I start to need to thinks about shooting in black and white, or more conrrectly shades of grey.
I need to concrete on patterns, and when I do that I tend to get repeating patterns like those in the building above, there is some calmy in the endless patterns of the modern office building, the lack of detail, the efficiency.
As I wound my way through the streets on Easter Sunday, everything deathly quiet as nothing was allowed to be open, I eventually made my way up to the tourist attraction of the botanical gardens, where I found this building, abandoned, this is my type of think. I instantly started thinking about uses for it, and yes I see beauty in this too - the simplicity of the low slung building, the rawness of the concrete.
