#MONOMAD Architectural Photography - Deco
Notes | I must have walked past this a thousand times, been inside maybe 50 times, I have certainly seen 5 or 6 gigs in the music venue that is in the basement, but how have I never really noticed this art Deco wonder. For those playing at home here are some facts - This is the Century building, built in 1939-40 in a Streamline art deco style. It was also the first air-conditioned building in Melbourne which is something. It was designed by Marcus Barlow who also did the Macheseter Unity building further up Swanston Street which is probably a bit more famous |
