When Purple Blooms Interrupted My Afternoon.

On my way to my coaching center this afternoon, I was simply minding my own business until these purple blooms ambushed me by the side of a compound—a spread of purple flowers standing gracefully in their natural beauty. Imagine! I couldn't even take two steps without turning back for another look. My steps began to slow down gradually until I finally stopped, I guess I stopped in slow motion, so to speak, not because I planned to, but because nature actually has a way of pulling me in... every now and then.

I just couldn't resist, so I slowly bent down, stretched my hands to touched the flower, and felt its tenderness.

For me, flowers are more than just plants. They are silent companions that radiate peace and quiet strength. In that moment, I felt a gentle calm wash over me. It was as though these flowers were whispering a reminder that beauty can be found in the simplest corners of life. The way they stood tall, glowing in purple, I couldn't just walk away.

I stopped, admired, and then brought out my phone to capture them. I snapped the shots knowing that the flowers wanted me to.

Photography, to me, is capturing this kind of magic—the soft encounters with nature that brighten an ordinary afternoon.
