Anchor away

With our village next to the river there is a place where the ferries used to make anchor. The tunnel was built in 2010. Until then the only chance to cross the river for ~30 miles was right here, using the ferry.

Now the old car waiting lot is a meeting place for motor cyclists in the summer time. A few merchants sell french fries and coffee there (also during summer time).

One of the last remnants is this anchor.

I took this picture while standing on the dyke with 137mm F/6.3 1/250sec ISO 160

All the pictures I took that day were a little bit too dark for my taste even though the meter gave me a +/-0. For my next tour I will set to to a default +0.7.
