Wednesday walk,
Hello wednesday walkers,
I am taking you on my walk trough the city of Hellevoetsluis. I was incredibly surprised about this part of the town. It is connected with the bunkers that I showed you last week. This is that same mill.
This is the Marina and they did't a very good job when they designed the houses around here.
They are so colorful. I love that.
Can you imagine? This is the backside of all those colorful houses. So dull. But that van is nice.
And this is a very old wall. It was part of the old navy shipyard that was here almost 400 years ago. I am not sure how old this wall is, I cant find any thing about it online.
These are 5 hero's of the sea. Well back in the day's they were hero's. No you can call some of them pirates and colonizers if you want. But they are still a big part of the Netherlands history.
It's a bronze plack of m.a. de Ruiter, Piet Heyn, Tromp, Evertsen and Torrington. Check out there Wikipedia's, it's very interesting to read if you like history.
This is one of the three main harbors in the city. Marina Hellevoetsluis. In this harbor there are three museum ships that you can visit. they look so good and well maintained.
And many sailboats of the local people the locals and tourits.
At the other side of the harbor is this building. it's probably designed by a christian architect. And it also looks so dull.
And the last colorful houses.

That houses reminds me of Burano! I wonder if they copied from there
The back is really ugly lol
They are inspired by house on Curaçaose
