The staircase in the museum.
Hello explorers,
This looks like a bit of an abandoned empty building, but it is the central staircase of photografiska in Berlin. A photo museum housed in an old squatters' stronghold.
When the organisation of the photo museum bought the building, they wanted to keep it as original as possible. They didn't want a designer building or a sleek painted museum. They wanted to show their respect for the heritage and the history of if the building.
It starts at the botom of the stairs. There is a museum shop and a restaurant but this immediately caught my attention.

It looked like a big mess, but it worked perfectly with the concrete and graffiti.

It's a beauty of a staircase. I really was enjoing myself when I took the pictures here. I continuously was looking for the best angle fot the picture, waiti g for a persin walking at thecright wpot.

I also tried to capture the visitors of the museum. It shows you a bit more of how big the stairs really are. It gives you a nice comparison with an object, the human, wete you can relate to.

This location was a good location to challenge myself a bit more. I need to go a bit deeper into the details of the things that I take pictures of. I always tend to zoom out too far, which gives you a too-wide image that actually contains a lot of information.

I took a couple of pictures of the different corridors that leeds to the exhibition rooms.

I loved this door. The light behind it was very nice. The people who got into the room made a nice silhouet behind it. It gave a little of a spooky feeling of the place.

I will make a post about the exhibition later. And if you have a post about a museum visit, I am very curious about that. Show me in the comments your museum post.
Have a nice weekend, you all!

I completely agree with what you said at the beginning. At first glance, it looks like a disaster, and I was also very shocked to see and learn that it is a museum, the staircase of a museum. Surprising. I visit art exhibitions all the time because I am fascinated by art, but I have never seen anything like this.
As I looked at the photographs and read, I said to myself: how do I find the doors, because the walls seem to blend in with the rest. The staircase is remarkable, beautiful in its antique design, and the angles you've captured are very good, even when people appear in the frame.
You've brought us something amazing, unusual, out of the ordinary, but spectacular. Thank you very much!

Thank you so much 🙏 it was a rainy day, and I wanted to go in somewhere. Than all of a sudden saw this photo museum. Walking in there with no expectation and no idea were I was, it was amazing when I walked in. I love it so much to do these kind of things.
I do the same thing! That's why we find amazing things; we like to explore.
