Night at the Ao Phra Nang Beach
Dream of a Beach - Night Photography & Light Painting
When you make it to Thailand you may want to make it also to Krabi. Nearby are some amazing beaches. If you do that during the night there are some surprises coming your way. We did not think the sky would provide a sky like in Iceland with its Aurora Borealis. Yet the green light of the boats is so bright it may make you think you see some Northern Lights. Nope, that's not what it is. But hey it does look super cool.
Wenn Sie nach Thailand reisen, möchten Sie vielleicht auch nach Krabi fahren. In der Nähe befinden sich einige fantastische Strände. Wenn Sie das nachts tun, erwarten Sie einige Überraschungen. Wir hätten nicht gedacht, dass der Himmel mit seiner Aurora Borealis einen Himmel wie in Island bieten würde. Doch das grüne Licht der Boote ist so hell, dass man glauben könnte, man sehe Nordlichter. Nein, das ist es nicht. Aber hey, es sieht wirklich super cool aus.
Ao Phra Nang Beach
A great place to stay for a few days is Railay and from there, it's just so simple to walk across over to Ao Phra Nang Beach or Railay Beach West. Day or Night it is an amazing gem of natures architecture. If you find yourself in the water and you are lucky, you get to see some bioluminescence plankton.
Ein toller Ort für einen Aufenthalt für ein paar Tage ist Railay und von dort aus ist es ganz einfach, zu Fuß zum Ao Phra Nang Beach oder Railay Beach West zu laufen. Egal ob Tag oder Nacht der Strand ein erstaunliches Juwel der Natur. Wenn mutig seid und Glück habt, könnt ihr im Wasser das berühmte Biolumineszenzplankton sehen.
The place offers a few things to do. So no reason to have boredom arise. If you are into climbing, kayaking, or even snorkeling all that seems to get you a new perspective for the place. Go try it.
Der Ort hat einiges zu bieten. Es gibt also keinen Grund, Langeweile aufkommen zu lassen. Wenn Ihr klettern, Kajak fahren oder sogar schnorcheln wollt, seid ihr hier genau richtig. Einfach mal machen!
You can also observe different animals such as monkeys and Bats. there is a Bat Cave right there in those mountains.
There is always a thought in my head about how I can frame this spot at night. So I got to the beach and got a few shots I want to share with you here too.
Es gibt auch einiges Tiere wie Affen und Fledermäuse zu beobachten. Genau dort in diesen Bergen im Hintergrund gibt es eine Fledermaushöhle.
Hier kann ich nun ein paar Aufnahmen teilen die ich am Strand gaufgenommen habe.
This is a very simplistic 13-second single exposure at ISO 800. I casted a kick light and let the moonlight light up the sky. The interesting part here is that the golden shine on the floor is a reflection of her wonderful golden dress.

Hier seht ihr eine 13-sekündige Einzelbelichtung bei ISO 800. Ich habe nur schnell ein Kicklicht eingesetzt und das Mondlicht den Himmel erleuchten lassen. Das Interessante hier ist, dass der goldene Glanz auf dem Boden eine Refelction ihres wundervollen goldenen Kleides ist.
Of course we did try to catch some stars in our shots but well that was not a easy task. Let's get moving.
Natürlich haben wir versucht, ein paar Sterne in unseren Aufnahmen einzufangen, aber das war keine leichte Aufgabe.
In the hope to see some bioluminescent plankton we thought maybe the next bay may have some. So we walked across to West Railay Beach as well. There were a couple of bars but no more people at 2 am. Oh well and all that light. This is what you see here in the last shot.
In der Hoffnung, doch noch etwas biolumineszierendes Plankton zu sehen, dachten wir, vielleicht gibt es in der nächsten Bucht welche. Also gingen wir auch zum West Railay Beach. Es gab ein paar Bars, aber um 2 Uhr morgens waren keine Leute mehr da aber noch viel Licht.Das sehen Sie hier in der letzten Aufnahme.

They are incredible and relaxing landscapes. I love them. Without a doubt, a wonderful experience. I have always wanted to see the northern Lights in person, it makes me very excited.
If just a rainbow makes me excited, I can't imagine being there.
