Greetings to the Liketu community, in this opportunity I want to share my experience as a music teacher in Venezuela. I work as a music teacher in 2 institutions, one public which is the Sistema de Orquesta for the Alma Llanera project, and the other institution is a semi-private academy called Ciearts.

In this second academy I not only give music lessons (Guitar, mandolin, bandola, cuatro, electric bass, most of the plucked string instruments), but I also give French lessons.

But most of my students are guitar students, the most universal instrument after the voice!

Being a music teacher has its good and bad side, as you know it is not easy to make a living from music but not impossible, like any other profession you have to work hard and be very disciplined, we also have a great responsibility because we must be role models for those young people who look at us with so much admiration.

It is an extremely rewarding job, to be able to teach someone to play an instrument, to feel useful to society and to be able to do what you like, and despite the economic difficulties, it is something worth fighting for until your heart stops beating.

Saludos a la comunidad de Liketu, en ésta oportunidad quiero compartir mi experiencia como Profesor de música en Venezuela. Trabajo como docente musical en 2 instituciones, una pública que es el Sistema de Orquesta por el proyecto Alma Llanera, y la otra institución es una Academia semi-privada que se llama el Ciearts.

En ésta segunda academia no solamente doy clases de música (Guitarra, mandolina, bandola, cuatro, bajo eléctrico, la mayoría de los instrumentos de cuerda pulsada), sino también doy clases de Francés.

Pero la mayoría de mis estudiantes son de Guitarra, el instrumento más universal después de la voz!

Ser docente de música tiene su lado bueno y malo, como sabrán no es fácil vivir de la música más no imposible, hay que como cualquier otra profesión trabajar mucho y ser muy disciplinado, también tenemos una gran responsabilidad porque debemos ser modelos a seguir de ésos jóvenes que nos ven con tanta admiración.

Es un trabajo sumamente gratificante, poder enseñarle a alguien a tocar un instrumento, sentirse útil para la sociedad y poder hacer aquello que te gusta, y a pesar de las dificultades económicas, es algo por que lo vale la pena luchar hasta que el corazón deje de latir.
