A Venezuelan in Bangkok? My trip to Thailand. Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel.

Una cosa que puedo decir de Tailandia con mucho asombroso es lo económico que puede ser quedarse en un hotel como este, fue algo increíble cuando al cambio de Baht a Dólares nos costaba $72 pasar la noche aquí, con desayuno incluido.
Con $72 en Venezuela jamás te podrías quedar en su sitio así, lo mínimo que podrías pagar para estar en un hotel como este en Venezuela sobrepasa los $200 por noche.
Había leído con anterioridad al viaje que el turismo era barato en Tailandia, pero no sabía que era tan barato!
Además de eso, la atención fue magnífica, recordemos que mi inglés es sumamente básico y los empleados del hotel nos trataron a mi compañera y a mí de una forma muy amable y cortés.
La comida, la atención y aparte la majestuosidad del lugar, me parecieron extraordinarias, de volver a ir a Tailandia definitivamente iría a este icónico lugar de Bangkok.

One thing that I can say about Thailand with great amazement is how affordable it can be to stay in a hotel like this. It was incredible when we realized that, after converting Thai Baht to U.S. Dollars, it cost us just $72 to spend the night here, with breakfast included.
With $72 in Venezuela, you could never stay in a place like this. The minimum you could pay to stay at a hotel like this in Venezuela would exceed $200 per night.
I had read before the trip that tourism was cheap in Thailand, but I didn't know it was this cheap!
Besides that, the service was magnificent. Keep in mind that my English is very basic, and the hotel staff treated my companion and me in a very kind and courteous manner.
The food, the service, and the sheer majesty of the place all seemed extraordinary to me. If I were to go back to Thailand, I would definitely go to this iconic place in Bangkok.
Religión y Tranquilidad en un Hotel
A pesar del avance tecnológico e infraestructural que tiene Tailandia, existe un gran respeto hacia la religión y las costumbres, desconozco si es algo obligatorio por la ley pero en todas partes, incluso en sitios lujosos como este Hotel hay estatuas y máscaras alusivas al Budismo.
Presencié en muchas ocasiones personas que se inclinaban hacia los altares budistas que estaban ubicados en toda la ciudad, desde lugares públicos hasta empresas o lugares privados como este hotel.
Yo soy una persona bastante mística, y a pesar que trato de tener un pensamiento bien racional a veces me suceden cosas como las que les voy a relatar.
En un día donde mi compañera y yo quisimos quedarnos todo el día en el hotel, yo decidí salir a caminar y tomar unas fotografías del sitio, cuando fuí a tomarle fotos a las máscaras que ven en la publicación, sentí que las estaba incomodando, les pedí permiso para fotografiarlas y cuando terminé hice una reverencia y les dí las gracias.
Ahora bien, ustedes pueden decir que fue algo netamente psicológico y posiblemente haya sido eso, pero jamás en mi vida había sentido la necesidad de pedirle permiso a un objeto para tomarle foto.
Religion and Serenity at a Hotel
Despite Thailand's technological and infrastructural advancements, there is a deep respect for religion and customs. I don't know if it's legally mandated, but everywhere—even in luxurious places like this hotel—there are statues and masks alluding to Buddhism.
I often saw people bowing toward the Buddhist altars located all over the city, from public spaces to businesses and private places like this hotel.
I'm a fairly mystical person, and even though I try to be rational, sometimes things happen to me like what I'm about to tell you.
One day, when my companion and I decided to stay in the hotel all day, I went for a walk to take some pictures of the place. When I went to photograph the masks you see in the post, I felt like I was disturbing them. I asked for their permission to photograph them, and when I finished, I bowed and thanked them.
