THE PHOTO THAT SAVED MY LIFE
At 18, I took this photo, unaware of how much it would change my life. I was a kid who didn't know what to do with my life; I didn't yet have a purpose. When I took this photograph, I found what I was looking for: a purpose. As a photographer, I use my camera to express my feelings and the way I see the world.
A los 18 años, tomé esta foto, sin saber cuánto cambiaría mi vida. Era un niño que no sabía qué hacer con mi vida; aún no tenía un propósito. Al tomar esta foto, encontré lo que buscaba: un propósito. Como fotógrafo, uso mi cámara para expresar mis sentimientos y mi forma de ver el mundo.
Currently, due to lack of time, I don't take many landscape photos, but when I do, I remember what made me love photography. Photographing my surroundings helps me with anxiety and to think things through better when I'm lost. It may sound cheesy, but photography saved my life.
Actualmente, por falta de tiempo, no tomo muchas fotos de paisajes, pero cuando lo hago, recuerdo lo que me hizo amar la fotografía. Fotografiar mi entorno me ayuda con la ansiedad y a reflexionar mejor cuando estoy perdido. Puede sonar cursi, pero la fotografía me salvó la vida.
