Taking life less seriously

Have you ever tried to look "perfect" in a photo? You know what I mean: flawless hair despite the sea breeze, eyes wide open without letting the sun bother you, and a pose worthy of a runway.

Spoiler alert: it almost never works out. Or at least, it doesn't turn out real.

I love today's photo for a very simple reason: it breaks the mold of rigidity. There's wet hair, there's sand on the knees, but above all, there's a genuine smile.

That pose, with hands on hips and head slightly tilted, doesn't say "look at me, I'm perfect." It says something much better. "This is me, and I'm having an amazing time."
