🏖️ Beach Diary: The Day Mateo Discovered the Sea (and Claimed a Chair)

There are moments in life that are etched in your memory forever, and a baby's first day at the beach is undoubtedly one of them. We had been planning this trip for weeks: we packed three types of sunscreen, swim diapers, umbrellas, and enough toys to open a tent on the sand. We thought of every detail... or so we thought.
.
Upon arrival, the vastness of the sea and the roar of the waves seemed a little suspicious to little Mateo. So, before venturing to the shore, we decided to find him a safe "throne."
.
The King of the Sand 👑
All it took was sitting him in one of the plastic beach chairs for his wariness to transform into pure happiness. With his bright green swimsuit and all-terrain sandals ready for action, he settled in as if he owned the place.
.
The favorite toys we bought? They were forgotten. His true happiness lay in something much simpler:
A green ball in his right hand.
A yellow ball in his left.
And a couple more balls rolling at his feet like his little beach treasures.
.
Seeing him smile, proudly showing off his first little teeth while completely oblivious to the bustle of the bathers around him, reminded us how wonderful the world is when you see it for the first time. He didn't care about the salt water or the sticky sand; he was in his own little paradise of gray plastic and colorful spheres.
.
What we learned from this day: Less is more: Sometimes we spend a fortune on the latest inflatable, when all a baby needs to be happy is a comfortable space, new textures, and the company of his parents.
.
At the end of the day, Mateo didn't swim with the dolphins or build a giant sandcastle, but he conquered the beach from his chair. And we're left with the best memory of the summer: that spontaneous laughter that's worth more than any landscape in the world.
.
What do you think of this approach for the blog? If you'd prefer to change the baby's name or give it a more playful or nostalgic tone, let me know and we'll adapt it.
