The fields on the way to Balchik. Bulgaria June 22

avatar

It got to the stage where I just had to shout "Stop the bus!".

We had been driving for an hour or so on the way to Balchik, passing through endless fields of colour.

"Is something wrong?" asked our leader.

"No nothing wrong, I just want to get some snaps of these fields"

The bus was stopped
Everyone piled off
A few thanked me and said things like "we wanted to ask but didn't like to"
There are sheep, there are sheeple.

Seeing those fields full of sunflowers reminds me of the summer season here in Romania where we have a lot of fields with sunflowers (even the name is predestined), and yes, we also have lavender fields, but there are a few businesses here in western Romania where these lavender fields have been turned into real studios for photo shoots.

Exquisite captures!

How could anybody drive past such visual ecstasy and NOT STOP! lolz! I suppose the driver might be excused for having done the route often, but even still! Does a sight like that ever really get old? unlikely!

Hey @galenkp ... I found your lavender fields lolz!

Serendipitous :)

My name is Eliza-Anne and my one friend calls me Lizzy the ladybird, lolz! Sooo for that reason, this one is my favorite!

MY friends nicknames for me excluded though, I think they are all spectacular and THIS one REALLY captivates me!

What is that song... you know the one... oh no, that is "strawberry fields forever", close enough I guess :D

I love both of those types of fields. I miss that about Europe. We don't really have either of them in Canada. I could take pictures of corn. That's about it. Lol
