Good morning @friendlymoose, here is my entry for your latest contest, shot when I was wandering around Würzburg, a stopping point on a river cruise I was taking, in April 2024, which I have only just got round to uploading from my camera!!

I got to drive trams like that one, probably even earlier tech, in the summer of 1996!

That was quite something, made any type of driving in any vehicle easy through all the years since then haha

You'll pull the wheel all the way to the left for breaking, at the right pace. Then up to the middle for neutral, then slowly all the way to the right for full power.

Get it wrong and you either skid along with no control, locked brakes and damaged wheels to the tune of ~10k, a lot in 96, or you'd trip the main fuse and lose all power.

All in the middle of busy traffic, people running around and whatnot!

It was great fun... Oh, and some of the old ones had some serious trouble learning to drive cars, when the instructor asked them to stop of course they yanked that steering wheel all the way to the left..............

Hehehehe...!!! Fun, yeah actually after the first year or two you get that attitude to it all!

Twice I got close to bashing a couple of idiots skulls in, less than a foot away from getting hit, nothing you can do at all going on rails...

Then I also lost braking power going down steep hills twice, those stories are pretty wild!

For the most serious one I realized rapidly that something was up, broke a rule & ended up not having a major accident...

It was a wild time, with a ton of dangerous incompetence around, which ultimately is why I quit I guess!

Amazing detail using black and white, trams through cities a handy mode of transport. Great photography winding around corners in roads.

Still not convinced if I like trams or not. They caused delays galore for years while they installed the tracks, a bloody waste of money I think.

Great wavy shot though!

Wonder when rob and ryan will build one in the town of wrexham LOL. I have used one in Manchester to get to the city centre from Salford, only the once though, but it was an interesting route. I could well imagine the chaos laying the infrastructure.

It was years and years of mayhem and small shops going out of business. And of course the cost multiplied!
