Orgasmic

Like a virgin on her wedding night, I was full of the the anticipation, of exposing it; fondling it; and shivering at the pleasure it would give me, not only now but for sometime to come, be it a quickie, or a long session. who cares, both are as satisfying as each other.

I was slobbering with anticipation my heart racing, all the books on what to do how to do it and what to expect have been read, the only thing to do was to do it.

It has been a couple of years, now since i went through these emotions, but I was made an offer I couldn't refuse, only a fool would walk away. So lets cut to the chase. jumped in the car, went to my regular camera shop, handed over the Z6II, walked out with the III, simple. Nikon currently offering £400 discount on the body was the perfect time and a generous part ex swap meant I virtually got it at half the normal Nikon price!! Kerfuckingchiing.

The box was opened

The contents taken out, the only thing of use was the battery, Nikon in their eco-agenda mode no longer include a charger, the battery is charged in the camera, using the USB-C cable, what a load of bollocks. I can use a full battery in under a day. Time to get on Amazon and get a third pary charger and spare batteries. Fuck Nikon.

Anyways onto the main event the Z6 III, body, the most important feature for me is the twin axis monitor, which replaces the pretty pointless tilt on the Z6II, It is slightly heavier by about 2ozs, which is hardly noticeable. Still slim still comfortable for my big hands and sausage fingers.

The back buttons although moved around have the same functions. There have been some upgrades under the bonnet, the EVF boasting a 5.76M-dot, 120Hz refresh rate, an analogy would be comparing a bog standard TV to watching a top of the range OLED. Yet to experience the upgraded auto-focus system but it is supposed to be a massive leap forward.

I did feel a little guilty, saying goodbye to my Z6 II, it had been a brilliant workhorse, and my first venture into "mirrorless". When I part exed it, apparently I had taken 22,700 shots since Feb 22. I need to slow down!

So, locked and loaded, breathing becoming shallower, face flushing slightly the all over tingle is upon her. The night has just begun.

Congrats!

Can't wait to see the results that you are going to get from that significance upgrade!

Still deciding witch camera to buy. My first digital camera was a Nikon E5700, that was stolen many years ago... Since then, I take my casual photos with my smartphone. But since photography is one of my fav hobbies, I'm kind of lean to adquire a proper camera. It couldn't be heavy and difficult to conceal in a small backpack, otherwise I would take it out with me as often as I wanted. Street photography and nature (casual) photography are two big main motives.
I completely know the feeling of pimping ourselves with such a great treat!
Congratulations

Ps: Sorry for the "long" reply talking about my procrastination

Cheers @xrayman , not long at all, much better than the "nice pics" replies LOL.

I have always been a Nikon man in recent times ( Though my first SLR, back in the day was an Olympus OM10). The standard of your snaps are brilliant, and on a smart phone|/ sheesh, you are good!

There seem to be some good compact cameras on the market these days, Leica in particular, but for the price as a back up I would never use it.

Good luck in your search.

Solid!!!! and to be treasured lol

Pakistan was amazing, not what I expected at all. India and Bangladesh are manic noisy and hectic. pakistan was quite the opposite, very laid back. The people were fantastic, friendly always wanting to chat and take selfies. Pakistan gets bad press, I never once felt unsafe or harassed.

Though on two days we did have armed police escorting us and on the bus and on the nights were confined to the hotel, but that was part of the fun.

Southern Pakistan was full of history and buildings, hot and sunny. Travelling the Karakoram Highway to the Chinese border in the North was dramatic scenery and cold LOL

I recommend it to anyone.
