Yesterday we got some pretty big waves, something you don't see very often in the Adriatic. Unfortunately is was too cloudy and stormy, and on the way back we got caught by heavy rain before we could reach our car.

As you said, unusual for the Adria.
On your Facebook post I mentioned Portugal - the Atlantic is quite different, even on the nicest of days. I had a hunch I posted this video, so I found it again:
Whew! Looks pretty aggressive. I love those rocky shorelines though. Creates a lot of character. I hope all is well with you, @gric!
It was quite wild for the Adriatic, of course nothing in comparisson what you can see at the Atlantic or Pacific.

We live right next to the beach here in San Pedro (LA Harbor) but it's not that great of a view with all of the shipping containers.
