Prachov Rocks - one of the most magical landscapes in Czech Republic

A few years back I visited Prachovské skály (Prachov Rocks) after 45 years again. I was
around five when I was there with my parents the first time. To me it's one of the most beautiful place in Czech Republic, however, it's quite a small area which you can all walk through within an hour. The sand stone formations are absolutely astonishing, it's the perfect set for a fairy tale movie. With its vertical pillars it's also a very popular climbing garden.

Oh wie schön, wow, wie beeindruckend diese mächtige Felsformation erscheint. Da fühlt man sich so klein gegen, oder? Ich musste deine Bilder mehrmals anschauen, weil diese solch eine Magie ausstrahlen. Sieht kaum aus wie Tschechien, man könnte glauben es wäre in Amerika oder Indien oder einem anderen fernen Land. Welch Ruhe und Atmosphäre dieser Ort alleine von den Fotos rüber bringt ist grandios. Danke dir fürs teilen, so können wir auch diesen Ort wenigstens digital besuchen.
Sicherlich ein Ort zum Krsft tanken. Genieße die Zeit dort. Baba.

I've seen them in so many movies and I've heard about them so much, but I have never managed to go there. I've been to Czech Republic countless times, but there is always some other things to do. I hope to be able to visit the rocks one day 🙂
Great photos! I've read somewhere that some guys were hiding there during the war as they didn't want to fight..

There are actually 4 or 5 of these "Rock Cities" in the area. Prachov, however, still might be the most attraktive place. I don't know about people hiding there during the war but it's possible.

Absolutely! I find this kind of rocks very inspiring!
The rock formations remind me of The Pinnacles here but they're also completely different. Definitely a magical place! And the drone always gives a great new perspective.
