A full day of scouting Abu Dhabi’s tourist spots, it was finally time to slow down and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. My husband had booked a night at the InterContinental Hotel Abu Dhabi. Promising a comfortable retreat after our city adventures.

When we reached the place, we were glad to see a wide parking lot. We easily secured a spot. We walked through the lobby, we were welcomed by a vigorous set of guests from all walks of life. That was a true reflection of Abu Dhabi’s international vibe. My husband joined the line at the front desk, where four staff members were busy attending to visitors. After thirty minutes, we were finally given a room and headed straight upstairs. Unfortunately, my husband noticed that the room had a city view instead of the marina view he had booked. We went down to sort it out. Then ten minutes later we were moved to our exact room on the same floor. The new room was lovely and spacious. With a stunning view of the pool and Marina Bay. The TV screen displayed a welcome message addressed to my husband. It was such a thoughtful touch, wishing us a wonderful stay, making the experience the perfect tone for a relaxing and memorable visit.

We put our things and went to the pool area. When we were in the pool area it was full of guests enjoying the water, so I chose not to take any photos. We strolled and took selfies. The marina bay was lined with yachts. Each one adds charm to the view. On the far side spires rose against the sky. The lush eased the urban outlook. It brings a feeling of harmony. The blend of water, lavish boats and nature created a peaceful view. It's where the city’s energy meets peaceful serenity.

My husband told me we should take a swim. We changed into our swimwear. Then we made our way to the pool. We felt the cool water against our skin. We spent the next hour swimming. We floated and simply enjoyed the ambiance. We're letting the water flush away the tiredness of the day. It was calm and refreshing which left us feeling warm.

We gave ourselves to the hotel’s dinner buffet. It attributed a wide selection of dishes, desserts, fresh fruits, breads and drinks. Each bite was a glee and we enjoyed the flavors without diversion. We didn’t take any photos out of respect for the guests. We're allowing ourselves to engrossed in the experience and the comfy ambiance of the dining area. After we're done, we feel so full. We walked to Marina Bay. There were restaurants and coffee shops that were bursting with people enjoying their evening meals. We returned to the hotel, I took a few photos of the lobby and some areas. The hotel impresses us with its worldly design. The stylish adorn and structural factors come together. It creates a friendly atmosphere. The chandelier casts a smooth radiance on the grandeur of the space. It left us praising the balance of grace and comfort. We went back to our room. We ended the night by watching a movie. We moved off to sleep feeling rested and recharged. And ready to grasp the adventures of the following day.
Our lodge at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi was an ideal blend of travel, comfort and luxury. It creates memories that we will cherish long after our trip.
