Walking in Tuhu Bog and Checking Out This Artsy Tower

I have visited the vast majority of accessible bogs in Estonia, but there are still some that I have yet to see. One of these was Tuhu bog in south-western Estonia. There is a unique-looking tower that was designed and built by the art academy students. It's far from being the highest bog tower, but the uniqueness is worth checking out. It reaches up to 5 meters high.

Up there, you can see the overview of this boggy/swampy area. A lot of pine trees don't grow to be high due to nutrient-deficient soil. Usually bogs have these small lakes, but this one doesn't seem to have any, at least I couldn't see them and looking at the satellite photo, there doesn't seem to be any. Just a moist soil everywhere.

Having looked at the tower, it was time to walk through the wooden pathway. It was not long at all, maybe about two kilometers or so.

Ants are flocking on the pathway, taking in the spring warmth.

If you get tired( which is unlikely considering the path length) or want to chillax and watch the scenery a bit, then there is a small area with a couple of benches to do that.

Even though in this bog there is a lack of the usual bog lakes. There is a bigger lake right next to the gravel road that leads to this bog. Looks shallow, but don't let it fool you, it can be bottomless 👀

Probably going to explore some more bogs in the coming times that I have yet to see in person. There is A LOT of those in Estonia.
