One of The Best Sunsets of The Year, Iceland

During my 2 day trip to Iceland and at the end of the first day when I came back from the volcano hike, I went back to Grindavik where my Airbnb was. I wondered what to do with the remainder of the evening. I had previously bought a couple of beers. Einstök is the best Icelandic beer that I always buy when I visit. I decided to walk somewhere on the edge of Grindavik, sit down, sip some beer and enjoy the moment that I'm in Iceland.
While walking and trying to find a good place to sit down I saw that oh, it's a nice sunset today, maybe it get even better.

I found a nice place to sit. A place full of Icelandic moss so it was very soft. Sat down, opened a beer and enjoyed the calm evening.
Soon enough the sunset got insane, I didn't expect it to get so intensely colorful but it did.

The colors were so intense that I had to bring down the saturation in post-processing to make this picture look more real. I had never had to downgrade the colors on my sunset photos, this is the only time I have done it.

I couldn't have wished for a more perfect end to the day in Iceland. To sit in nature, enjoy a good beer and watch an epic sunset.

This place where I sat was pretty dangerous actually. I sat in the middle of the crack line in the ground. Those were very deep and full of water. The water was clear so I was able to see how deep those cracks were and it was a bit terrifying, those were at least 7 or 8 meters deep, probably deeper in places. I have a couple of pics taken with a phone. Depth is not really visible in these shots.

This place looks like that from a high-quality satellite photo. I have no idea how these cracks have formed, it's not a location where continental halving happens. I stayed there until the dark so I had to be careful to not fall into one when leaving.
