On the Roads of Iceland

Still, out of all the places I have been to, Iceland is still the country I choose to be the best for road-tripping. The scenery never gets boring and epic nature is always around another corner. A clear and sunny day only adds to the experience.
The last time I went to Iceland for a couple of days, I did not intend to drive far from the Reykjanes peninsula where the volcano eruption happened. Well, I changed my mind since the weather was so nice. I took on a 77km drive from Grindavik to Hveragerdi, I planned to take a hike in the area.

To get there, I used a road I had not driven before. This road followed the coastline. One side was a completely flat lava field and another side was mountains, the views were great. Don't be like me, don't take pictures and drive 😅. Fortunately, there is hardly any traffic on this road. Usually, I use my girlfriend to take some shots of the surrounding landscapes while I drive but this time I was alone.

The visibility was great and I was able to see Eyjafjallajökull glacier from far away. This is actually 100km away from me. I stopped for a moment and took this shot.

Next up on the road, some trees. Yeah trees, trees are a big thing in Iceland because there aren't many. It's pretty rare to see that many trees next to a road you are driving.

The final shot is taken in the town of Hveragerdi. I had previously been there during my first trip to Iceland but it was like a new place to me because the last time it was rainy and no visibility. The scenery was totally different with clear weather.

Wow! That's actually cool place. Thanks for taking us to Iceland. I never thought it's s beautiful in its own way despite the absence of greenery.

Oh, iceland is very green in parts. Not many trees but there is plenty of green moss everywhere.

I would like to live there too but the problem is that it's expensive as fuck. I would either need to be rich to live there or find work but thats not very easy in Iceland too. Definitely, it's possible to go and live there if one really wants to.

Let's say I'd like to live in a cold country where there aren't many people, with a minimum of services of course eh eh!

Well, then I think there are much more choices besides Iceland. I just am obsessed with nature in Iceland so I have traveled there pretty regularly.
