Garden Of The Gods
Been a while since my last Colorado post but here is a new one. This time we visited the Garden of the Gods in central Colorado near Colorado Springs.
Garden of the Gods is a unique place where 300 million-year-old geological history can be found. This is featured by uniquely shaped redstone formations and cliffs. The park itself is pretty large but we only got to see some of it due to us being a bit short of time and severe weather rolling in.
This garden is extremely popular with visitors and a lot of people roam around the area during the daytime.
This is the first formation we saw, the balanced rock at the side of the road.
Took a bit of a closer look at this formation. There is always someone climbing up there and taking pictures so it was almost impossible for me to get a shot without anyone on it.
We drove a bit further in the park so we could get an overview of what there is to see. Here are some photos I have taken out of the car window when we were driving around. Yes, I stopped on the road to take the shot 😀.
Aint these some amazing-looking red rock formations?
At some point, we stopped at a parking lot and decided to take a walk on some trail. The problem was that a huge thunderstorm rolled onto us. We needed to make it fast to see anything at all before the mayhem arrived. I don't have any lighting strikes captured but from this cloud, the crazyness came...
Here are the photos I managed to capture on the trail. A bit of sunshine on the cliffs looked really nice.
I asked some strangers to take a photo of me and my girlfriend. Cause, you know... So we have proof that we really were there 😅. No really, capturing nature is awesome but have to get some photos of us travelers too.
After this was taken care of, we started to walk back to the car and quickly because the thunderstorm was very close. Not too keen on the possibility of getting struck by lightning.
Overall, Garden of the Gods is an awesome place. It's a shame that we only had so little time to explore the area because there is so much more to see. Maybe there will be a time to see this place more thoroughly.

Really great place to visit. But I wish to see some more photos of it. These red cliffs looks very beautiful.
Thanks but wasnt enough time to get more photos unfortunately.
Wow what a beauty to behold of the rock actually 😻
Yeah, definitely.
I have seen something similar in Karelia. The same massive stones balancing on a small fulcrum.
Yeah I can imagine that something bit similar can be elsewhere too.
Nice rocks :D
Yep :D
This got me laughing 😅 but as you know, the proof was very much important.
It was a beautiful thing to walk and have a view of nature. The rock looks beautiful
Sure was. Its great to see something unique.

Thanks lol.
I am quite looking forward someday to visit this type of places and explore around
It sure is worth it.
Such places with natural views are very beautiful and these big stones are also very beautiful and when we go to such a place, the mind gets a lot of peace.
