Collection Of Some Shrooms I saw During the Autumn
I have seen that many here have posted pictures of mushrooms so I decided to do the same this time. There is even a community for this where I'm posting to right and it's my first time posting here or about any fungi. At least I think so, I can't be entirely sure.
Shroom season here in Estonia is now over and now is a great time to show what I got. So here I have some examples of some shrooms I found during the autumn months. I never went searching for these but when I noticed some, I took a photo. Some are taken with a camera and some are taken with my phone.
Let me say that I don't have absolutely any idea about mushrooms and I am stupid as fuq on that front. I don't know what these are called in Estonian and even more so in English. If I were to pick mushrooms for food then I would surely end up in an ER after getting poisoned by mushrooms I decided to eat.
The first 3 photos are taken with a camera.
Tree stump shroom?
The following photos are taken with a phone.
Found these cool shrooms in a bunch all together while playing disc golf.
I'm quite certain that red means do not eat, poisonous!
Another red one that is flipped for some reason. I didn't break it I promise, it was like that when I saw it 😅.
I can agree that photographing mushrooms is pretty fun and these look cool. I do like the mushroom sauce but haven't eaten it for years now. I need to visit my grandmother and ask her to make some.
Maybe next year when the time comes I will go to the forest specifically to search for the mushrooms to take photos of but that remains to be seen then.
With the look of things, they quite look edible
Not sure about the red one tho.
Really 🥺
red cap brittlegill (which is turned upside down) - is edible.
another red one, I think, is Amanita, it is toxic, medicinal and... also edible.
but generally saying it is not forageable and doesn't suits cooking :P
Yeah, I have heard that red one with white dots on it is poisonous. We also have a totally white one which should be even more poisonous but I don't remember when I last saw one.
In EN, they have a not so funny names of 'destroying angel' (Amanita bisporigera) and 'death cap' (Amanita phalloides) - they account for the overwhelming majority of mushroom poisoning deaths. Happily I dont meet them often either.

I don't eat shrooms myself, but they are nice to look at in the nature.
I especially love how the mushrooms that grow out the sides of trees look like.
Yeah, for sure cool to look at. We have a lot of variety too.
very nice collection of autumn mushrooms
Thanks!
Haha! Red definitely means don't eat😅 but on a closer look, the red ones look more captivating to eat😀
Hah yeah lol. In my experience, the brown ones are the ones we have eaten.
Not sure if you want to know the names :P but the ones you captured at a golf field, probably are edible ones - something from this family: Armillaria sp. Better go as pickled.
Thanks for the info! Brown ones usually seem to be the ones more suitable for eating lol.
haha! well, maybe so. but please do not use that as an only criteria to pick up the shrooms - or you'll be in a trouble! 😜 !BEER
Haha definitely not lol, I leave that part to the more knowledgeable.

These are some great pics. I've been thinking about taking a foraging class so I know which mushrooms are healthy and which shrooms are deadly.
Thanks! That would for sure be a good knowledge to own.
