Catching a Rainy sunset

There is always something about stormy or rainy sunsets. When the sun shines through some openings from the large thunder or rain clouds. It usually creates a different kind of lighting, and I love to be there, taking photos when that happens.
I have not seen these kinds of conditions this year yet but have a couple of photos from the last year. These were taken in September 2024 on the beach near my home.

Here you can see the sunset and rainfall lines. Always a really cool sight.

Maybe there was even thunder, but I don't remember it right now. Photographing lightning strikes during the daylight hours is almost impossible without a neutral density filter.
