I really enjoy creating narratives from the street photographs I take wherever I go. For me, photography isn't just about pressing the camera shutter, but about carefully observing everything that happens around me. Every corner, every unfamiliar face, every car crossing the avenue, or every shadow cast by buildings carries a silent story waiting to be perceived. When I walk through the streets, I feel like I'm crossing a large stage where everyday life unfolds spontaneously, without a script or rehearsal.

Gosto muito de criar narrativas a partir das fotografias de rua que faço por onde passo. Para mim, fotografar não é apenas apertar o disparador da câmera, mas observar com atenção tudo aquilo que acontece ao redor. Cada esquina, cada rosto desconhecido, cada carro que cruza a avenida ou cada sombra projetada pelos prédios carrega uma história silenciosa esperando para ser percebida. Quando caminho pelas ruas, sinto que estou atravessando um grande palco onde o cotidiano se apresenta de forma espontânea, sem roteiro e sem ensaio.

It is precisely this unpredictability that fascinates me. The street pulsates with life: people hurrying to work, vendors trying to win over another customer, buses passing by full of people, bicycles weaving through traffic, and small gestures that often go unnoticed by those simply going about their routine. Photography gives me the opportunity to freeze these moments, transforming ordinary times into fragments of visual memory.

É justamente essa imprevisibilidade que me encanta. A rua pulsa com vida: pessoas apressadas indo para o trabalho, vendedores tentando conquistar mais um cliente, ônibus passando cheios, bicicletas cortando o trânsito e pequenos gestos que muitas vezes passam despercebidos por quem está apenas seguindo sua rotina. A fotografia me dá a oportunidade de congelar esses instantes, transformando momentos comuns em fragmentos de memória visual.

When I look back at these images, I realize that each photo carries more than what appears in the frame. There's a feeling there, an atmosphere, a piece of the city and of time that was captured in that second. Creating a narrative about these photographs is like rearranging these fragments of urban life, trying to translate into words what my eyes felt at the moment of the click.

Quando volto para olhar essas imagens, percebo que cada foto carrega mais do que aquilo que aparece no enquadramento. Existe um sentimento ali, uma atmosfera, um pedaço da cidade e do tempo que foi capturado naquele segundo. Criar uma narrativa sobre essas fotografias é como reorganizar esses fragmentos da vida urbana, tentando traduzir em palavras aquilo que meus olhos sentiram no momento do clique.

Perhaps that's why I connect so much with street photography. It allows me to wander aimlessly, attentive to the details that the city gradually reveals. The texture of an old wall, the contrast between light and shadow, the expression of someone passing quickly by the lens—all of this builds a unique aesthetic, born from everyday life.

Talvez seja por isso que eu me conecto tanto com a fotografia de rua. Ela me permite caminhar sem destino, atento aos detalhes que a cidade revela aos poucos. A textura de um muro antigo, o contraste entre luz e sombra, a expressão de alguém que passa rapidamente pela lente, tudo isso constrói uma estética própria, nascida do cotidiano.

My photographs end up being more than just simple records. They become small visual stories about the places I pass through and the lives that cross my path for a few seconds. And it is precisely in this mixture of observation, sensitivity, and chance that I find inspiration to continue walking the streets with my camera in hand, always searching for the next moment that deserves to be told.

Minhas fotografias acabam sendo mais do que simples registros. Elas se tornam pequenas histórias visuais sobre os lugares por onde passo e sobre as vidas que cruzam o meu caminho por alguns segundos. E é justamente nessa mistura de observação, sensibilidade e acaso que encontro inspiração para continuar caminhando pelas ruas com a câmera nas mãos, sempre em busca do próximo momento que mereça ser contado.

Over time, I realize that these photographs end up building a silent archive of urban life. They are small snippets of daily life that, together, form a larger narrative about the city, about the rhythm of the people, and about the unique atmosphere that only the street can offer. Each image becomes a kind of visual memory of that moment, an instant that may never be repeated in the same way.

Com o tempo, percebo que essas fotografias acabam construindo um arquivo silencioso da vida urbana. São pequenos recortes do cotidiano que, juntos, formam uma narrativa maior sobre a cidade, sobre o ritmo das pessoas e sobre a atmosfera única que só a rua consegue oferecer. Cada imagem se torna uma espécie de memória visual daquele momento, um instante que talvez nunca mais se repita da mesma forma.

And that's precisely what motivates me to keep walking, observing, and photographing. Knowing that the street is always alive, always changing, always offering new stories to those willing to look attentively. In the midst of traffic, crowds, lights, and shadows, I continue to find inspiration to transform these fleeting encounters into images that carry a bit of the city's soul.

E é justamente isso que me motiva a continuar caminhando, observando e fotografando. Saber que a rua está sempre viva, sempre mudando, sempre oferecendo novas histórias para quem está disposto a olhar com atenção. No meio do trânsito, das multidões, das luzes e das sombras, sigo encontrando inspiração para transformar esses encontros passageiros em imagens que carregam um pouco da alma da cidade.
