There's something about the streets that always calls to me. It doesn't matter the route, the time, or the destination. As soon as I leave the house, my eyes start searching for scenes, details, and stories hidden in everyday life. Street photography has become more than a hobby for me; it's become a way of seeing the world.

Tem algo nas ruas que sempre me chama. Não importa o caminho, o horário ou o destino. Basta sair de casa que meus olhos já começam a procurar cenas, detalhes e histórias escondidas no cotidiano. A fotografia de rua virou mais do que um hobby para mim, virou uma forma de enxergar o mundo.

There's a feeling that's hard to explain when you find that perfect moment amidst the urban chaos. It's the reflection of light hitting the right spot, a spontaneous expression, a person lost in their own thoughts, or simply a composition that only existed for a few seconds. These are common moments for most people, but for those who carry a camera, they become something unique.

Existe uma sensação difícil de explicar quando você encontra aquele instante perfeito no meio do caos urbano. É o reflexo de uma luz batendo no lugar certo, uma expressão espontânea, uma pessoa perdida nos próprios pensamentos ou simplesmente uma composição que só existiu por alguns segundos. São momentos comuns para a maioria das pessoas, mas que para quem carrega uma câmera se transformam em algo único.

What fascinates me most about street photography is precisely this: the ability to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. While many people rush by without noticing, I like to slow down my gaze. To observe the architecture worn by time, the contrasts of the city, the shadows cast by the buildings, the marks left by people, and the energy that pulsates on every corner.

O que mais me fascina na fotografia de rua é justamente isso: a capacidade de transformar o ordinário em algo extraordinário. Enquanto muita gente passa apressada sem perceber, eu gosto de desacelerar o olhar. Observar a arquitetura desgastada pelo tempo, os contrastes da cidade, as sombras projetadas pelos prédios, as marcas deixadas pelas pessoas e a energia que pulsa em cada esquina.

Each photo shoot ends up being a different experience. I never know exactly what I'm going to find, and maybe that's what makes it all so enjoyable. The street is unpredictable. It doesn't follow a script, it doesn't repeat scenes, and it doesn't wait for anyone. You have to be attentive, walk, observe, and feel the atmosphere. When I manage to capture that moment that seemed invisible to everyone else, I feel that every step taken was worthwhile.

Cada saída fotográfica acaba sendo uma experiência diferente. Nunca sei exatamente o que vou encontrar, e talvez seja isso que torna tudo tão prazeroso. A rua é imprevisível. Ela não segue roteiro, não repete cenas e não espera ninguém. É preciso estar atento, caminhar, observar e sentir o ambiente. Quando consigo registrar aquele momento que parecia invisível para todo mundo, sinto que valeu a pena cada passo dado.

Photographing the street is also a form of connection. With the city, with the people, and even with myself. It's a constant exercise in presence, in being attentive to the now. In a world where everything passes so quickly, photography gives me the opportunity to freeze small fragments of life that may never happen again. In the end, I think that's why I keep returning to the streets with my camera in hand. It's not just about taking photos. It's about collecting stories, finding beauty where almost no one looks, and keeping alive this pleasure of discovering, through the lens, that the city always has something new to show.

Fotografar a rua é também uma forma de conexão. Com a cidade, com as pessoas e até comigo mesmo. É um exercício constante de presença, de estar atento ao agora. Em um mundo onde tudo passa tão rápido, a fotografia me dá a oportunidade de congelar pequenos fragmentos da vida que talvez nunca mais aconteçam. No fim das contas, acho que é por isso que continuo voltando para as ruas com a câmera nas mãos. Não é apenas sobre fazer fotos. É sobre colecionar histórias, encontrar beleza onde quase ninguém procura e manter vivo esse prazer de descobrir, através das lentes, que a cidade sempre tem algo novo para mostrar.
