My Traveling Experience to Bayelsa
It's my first time writing here. I had been seeking a community where I may write my traveling experience. And here I got one.
My travel to Bayelsa was a stressful one.
Bayelsa is situated in Nigeria. It is one of the southern states.
Last Friday I went to Bayelsa to attend a wedding.
Before I went I heard of the water there, even as I arrived at the motor park, I heard the river was getting people to their necks.
I was very afraid but I was already prepared. I quickly contacted one of my friends staying in Bayelsa to check whether it was safe to go.
She told me that it was okay but I would have to use a truck to cross where the flood was much.
Other times traveling to Bayelsa, it's either a vehicle or a bus but due to the flood and strong currents of the river, a car or bus couldn't cross.
Transportation increased. We were paying approximately $3 previously then it went to $6.
When we approached Ahoda where the water began was were invited to join a truck.
We entered but and the ride was terrifying.
We spotted a vehicle that was stuck in the water.
We even observed a truck that had an accident.
The road was already cracking owing to the high stream of water.
Some persons who wouldn't afford a vehicle or see one were to travel in the river holding their selves.
It was the first time entering a truck on a journey. Going was much simpler than coming back.
Due to the water increasing every day as we were going back truck couldn't pass again we were requested to walk across the water or use the flying boat.
It was just one flying boat accessible and couldn't enter many people so I opted to walk. It was incredibly alarming since a slight fall might let the water take you, which can be deadly.
We clutched a rope to aid ourselves.
It was like a testimony when I was out of the water.
I have never gone to the swimming pool before speak more about entering a river.
It's been a trip I will never forget in a hurry.
I sincerely desire the water to recede swiftly because it caused many people have lost their lives and property as a consequence of the flood.
