This time I want to show you the facilities of the San Juan Bautista church, located in front of the Bolivar square in the town of Duaca located north of the city of Barquisimeto.

Several weeks ago I was visiting this town in the state of Lara with my wife to buy a set of furniture, because they sell them cheaper directly from the factory.

On that trip we visited some buildings of Duaca and we took the opportunity to enter the San Juan Bautista temple located in front of the Bolivar square of Duaca to know it inside, to make prayer and admire its finishes.

Eight wide steps must be climbed to access the three entrances of the temple built in a baroque style and whose facade, painted with ocher, white and brown colors, rises imposingly to the blue sky of the horizon.

The huge wooden doors denote the passage of the years and ask for a coating with polyurethane to improve its finish, however upon entering you notice how preserved all the other facilities are.

The central nave is supported by elegant white columns that form large arches that generate the set that supports the ceiling of tongue and groove wood very well finished and preserved.

The floor is built with granite in various shades that cover the lower part of the temple of great elegance, the benches are made of mahogany wood and the stained glass windows give it a surprising color that let in the exterior light.

The altar is simple but is surrounded by wood veneer and gilded figures. Above is a beautiful dome whose walls are frescoed with beautiful images of the passion and death of Jesus.

To one side of the altar is the holy sepulcher decorated with beautiful gold-colored borders that stand out among the brown and ochre colors of the general decoration of the temple and in the background, inside a niche, stands the glorious crucified Jesus.

On the other side we find the Blessed Sacrament, guarded by two cherubs and above, the image of the heart of Jesus with his mother the Virgin Mary in her invocations of the Virgin of Carmen and Immaculate Conception.

Inside the temple we sat for a while in front of the Blessed Sacrament in an attitude of prayer and adoration and I was invaded by a peace that can only be achieved in that holy place.

Although the entire interior of the temple is simple, it is full of beautiful details, such as the wood finish of the walls and the golden color of the images.

In summary, the San Juan Bautista de Duaca temple is an example of how a building can be preserved despite the years of construction. It is a building with a very elegant architecture and is surrounded by very striking details.

Conociendo la iglesia San Juan Bautista de Duaca

Reciban un gran saludo amigos de la comunidad @architecture, espero que hayan disfrutado de un excelente fin de semana.

En esta oportunidad les quiero mostrar las instalaciones de la iglesia San Juan Bautista, ubicada frente a la plaza Bolivar en el poblado de Duaca ubicada al norte de la ciudad de Barquisimeto.

Hace varias semanas que estuve visitando este pueblo del estado Lara junto a mi esposa para comprar un juego de muebles, pues allí los venden más económicos directamente desde la fabrica.

En ese viaje conocimos algunas edificaciones de Duaca y aprovechamos de entrar al templo San Juan Bautista ubicado frente a la plaza Bolívar de Duaca para conocerlo por dentro, a hacer oración y admirar sus acabados.

Ocho amplios escalones debemos subir para acceder a las tres entradas que posee el templo construido con un estilo barroco y cuya fachada, pintada con colores ocre, blanco y marrón se alza imponente hasta el azul cielo del horizonte.

Las enormes puertas de madera denotan el paso de los años y piden un recubrimiento con poliuretano para mejorar su acabado, sin embargo al entrar se nota lo conservado de todas las demás instalaciones.

La nave central esta sostenida por elegantes columnas blancas que forman grandes arcos que generan el conjunto que da soporte al techo de madera machihembrada muy bien acabada y conservada.

El piso está construido con granito en varias tonalidades que revisten la parte inferior del templo de mucha elegancia, los bancos son de madera de caoba y los vitrales le dan un sorprendente colorido que dejan pasar la luminosidad exterior.

El altar es sencillo pero está rodeado con enchapado de madera y figuras doradas. Hacia arriba se puede apreciar una hermosa cúpula en cuyas paredes se pueden ver hermosos frescos con imágenes de la pasión y muerte de Jesús.

A un lado del altar se encuentra el santo sepulcro decorado con hermosos bordes color oro que destacan entre los colores marrones y ocres de la decoración general del templo y al fondo, dentro de un nicho se alza glorioso Jesús crucificado.

Al otro lado encontramos el santísimo Sacramento, custodiado por dos querubines y más arriba, la imagen del corazón de Jesús junto a su madre la virgen María en sus advocaciones de virgen del Carmen e Inmaculada Concepción.

Dentro del templo nos sentamos un rato frente al santísimo en actitud de oración y adoración y me invadió una paz que solo puede conseguirse en ese santo lugar.

A pesar de que todo el interior del templo es sencillo, está cargado de detalles hermosos, como el acabado en madera de las paredes y el color dorado de las imágenes.

En resumen, el templo san Juan Bautista de Duaca es una muestra de cómo se puede conservar una edificación a pesar de los años de construida. Es una edificación con una arquitectura muy elegante y que está rodeada de detalles muy llamativos.
