Un hogar de Pony para gatos 🐈

En 7 días daremos oficialmente la bienvenida a la primavera y ya se siente el buen clima. Después de días de lluvia y temperaturas bajas, hoy finalmente disfrutamos de un día precioso, soleado y fresco, con una temperatura agradable de unos 16ºC, que no es ni frío ni calor. El clima perfecto para dar un paseo.

Aunque ya había completado mi rutina de caminata por la mañana, la tarde estaba tan bonita que decidí aprovecharla yendo con mis hijos a dar un paseo, con la excusa de ir a comprar pan y leche. Ellos decidieron la ruta y yo los seguí, sin planearlo, terminamos en los alrededores de una casa que funciona como albergue y refugio para gatos sin hogar.

Es como el Hogar de Pony, pero para gatos. Los acogen, cuidan y alimentan, y ellos deambulan en sus alrededores con la actitud de auténticos dueños y señores. Me llamó la atención que todos los gatos, excepto uno, tenían un pelaje blanco y negro, como si hubiesen pasado por la misma impresora o les hubiesen aplicado los comandos ctrl+c y ctrl+v (copiar y pegar). ¡Jajaja!

Si observan las fotografías, podrían pensar que es el mismo gato, pero no, son gatos distintos aunque increíblemente similares. Solo uno se destacaba entre la multitud, un gato con un pelaje cobrizo, casi naranja, el auténtico Garfield del grupo. Él es único y lo sabe, estaba sentado en un tronco, asumiendo su importancia, pavoneándose a su antojo y aparentando ignorarnos mientras posaba para la cámara, tipo “tómame una foto al descuido”.

¡Mi madre! ¿Por qué los gatos son tan arrogantes? Ese, al que apodamos Garfield, es precioso, pero no espera que se lo digan, lo hace evidente desde el primer momento. De baja autoestima no padecen, o al menos eso parece ser común en ellos.

Bueno, en fin, aunque no soy muy amiga de los gatos, pues siempre he preferido a los perros, me encantó ver cómo se desenvolvían en ese lugar, sin sentirse amenazados, y siendo cuidados y protegidos. Esa casa es su hogar, al punto de que ningún ser humano la habita, es simplemente "la casa de los gatos".

Well, anyway, although I'm not very fond of cats, as I've always preferred dogs, I loved seeing how they behaved in that place, without feeling threatened, and being cared for and protected. That house is their home, to the point that no human being inhabits it, it's simply "the cats' house."
