Light sparks in Madrid's sky 📸

Definitely, not everything has to be a super production of great magnitudes to become a beautiful show, and, in addition, to gain the receptivity of many people.

Last night I was invited to go to see SPARK, a show of lights and bubbles that would be taking place only on the 3rd and 4th in the vicinity of the Royal Palace of Madrid, in the Sabatini Gardens. Yesterday was the last day, we had to take advantage of the opportunity, and since we had no other plans in mind, we decided to go all together as a family, since going out at night to walk with this demonic cold here seems to be normal.

When I arrived at the site I could not believe the number of people, it was crazy, and the place was crowded. The line to enter seemed endless, so my first impression was to desist from entering, I hate waiting in line, I have already suffered that evil in the past for multiple reasons...any Venezuelan would understand me. Luckily, very close to where we were, they enabled an access door and we were able to go into the gardens without major setbacks.

Definitivamente no todo tiene ser una super producción de grandes dimensiones para convertirse en un espectáculo hermoso, y, además, ganar la receptividad de mucha gente.

Anoche me invitaron para ir a ver SPARK, un show de luces y burbujas que se estaría realizando solo los días 3 y 4 en las inmediaciones del Palacio Real de Madrid, en los Jardines de Sabatini. Ayer era el último día, debíamos aprovechar la oportunidad, igual no teníamos ningún otro plan en puerta, así que nada, decidimos irnos todos en familia, total, salir en las noches a caminar con este frío demoníaco aquí parece ser normal.

Al llegar al sitio no daba crédito de la cantidad de personas, era una locura, el lugar estaba abarrotado. La fila para entrar parecía no tener fin, así que mi primera impresión fue desistir de entrar, detesto hacer colas, ya he padecido ese mal en el pasado por múltiples causas…cualquier venezolano me entendería. Por suerte, muy cerca de donde estábamos habilitaron una puerta de acceso y pudimos pasar a los jardines sin mayores contratiempos.

I must admit that at the beginning when I saw what the show was really about, I did not understand why there were so many visitors, that is, it was not something out of this world, it never really was. However, I understood that it was not a purely visual issue, but a multisensory one, another experience of connection with nature. In reality, everything revolved around the experience of the moment, enjoying the spaces, the landscape, and living the magic, it was about being there and seeing yourself in the middle of a shower of bubbles and sparks of lights that in the sky looked like millions of fireflies. I have never been to Norway, so I have never seen aurora borealis, but last night between the solemnity of the moment, the landscape, the low temperatures, and the play of lights, I felt like a witness of a boreal night.

The truth, although I was skeptical at first, I finally ended up delighted with the light show. Of course, I did not miss the opportunity to take many pictures, the ones I share here are just a sample of what I experienced there.

Debo admitir que al principio cuando vi de que iba realmente el espectáculo no entendía el por qué de tanta afluencia de visitantes, es decir, tampoco era una cosa del otro mundo, nunca lo fue sinceramente. Sin embargo, comprendí que no era un tema netamente visual, sino multisensorial, una experiencia más de conexión con la naturaleza. En realidad, todo giraba en torno a la experiencia del momento, disfrutar de los espacios, del paisaje, vivir la magia, se trataba de estar allí y verte en medio de una lluvia de burbujas y de chispas de luces que en el cielo parecían millones de luciérnagas. Jamás he estado en Noruega, por tanto, nunca he visto auroras boreales, pero anoche entre lo solemne del momento, el paisaje, las bajas temperaturas y el juego de luces, me sentí testigo de una noche boreal.

La verdad, aunque estuve escéptica al principio, finalmente terminé encantada con el espectáculo lumínico. Por supuesto, no dejé pasar la oportunidad de tomar muchas fotografías, las que aquí les comparto son solo una muestra de lo allí vivido.
