Nang Ceding 87 years old Chapel President | Monomad
Today, despite the intense heat, the residents of Barangay Banhigan came together to prepare for the procession of saints (for Roman Catholics) scheduled for 4:00 in the afternoon. Leading this effort is Nang Ceding, an 87 years old senior citizen who remains agile and is always at the forefront of church and chapel activities in Barangay Banhigan.
Both young and old residents of the barangay collaborated to speed up the decorating of the cart intended for the saints. This cart will be used for the parade organized by the parish of Barangay Cawayan. As a resident of the barangay, I also assisted in arranging the flowers to be used in designing the cart.
When everyone pitches in, the tasks are completed quickly. Mr. Erl, a teacher at Cawayan National High School, took charge of decorating the cart. People from various walks of life joined hands to ensure the success of the procession. For devout Catholics, these tasks related to the church are of utmost importance.
I'm really happy to see everyone working together because they all want the same thing and truly believe in it. Today, I saw a lot of different feelings that made this moment even more special.
It's nice to see older folks and young people working so well together. Nang Ceding said she could still help, but the young ones said they could handle it and made her feel reassured. They're excited to hear what Nang Ceding suggests to make the cart even better.
Service comes from the heart, regardless of age. I really admire Nang Ceding because, despite her age, she remains strong and dedicated to serving God. I've witnessed Nang Ceding's dedication, so you young ones have no excuse to be lazy.
well said!! i always love to see this kind of cultural activities of all over the world!
Nowadays it's rare to see older and young people work together. Because of the age gap, sometimes younger generations can't relate to us.
Yeah thats why I loved this set of imahws so much
