Wednesday Walk along the Little Danube-Radmilovac
Hello dear friends,
Are you in the mood for a walk?

Today I am taking you to Radmilovac. It is a beauty near Belgrade, more precisely, it belongs to Belgrade, but it is outside the city.
Mali Radmilovac was founded on the initiative of students of the Faculty of Agriculture in Belgrade.
It was first called Mali Dunav, because it is near the Danube, later the name was changed to Radmilovac.
It occupies an area of tens of hectares and is divided thematically: water - land; tame-wild, old-new.
The students do all the work there, of course with the help of their professors and a few employed locals.
It is visited daily on weekdays and is open for families on weekends.
I also went on weekends with my family, but now I'm taking you for a walk with my little first graders.
We left school by bus. The children were happy, as always when they need to go somewhere and see something new,
It took us less than an hour to get to Radmilovac by bus.
At the entrance to the complex, we were greeted by students.
Each group got its own guide and we went for a walk, each group on its own side, so that it would be easier to visit everything, walk everywhere and learn something.
Greenery everywhere and the smell of water.
The students dug a small narrow canal from the Danube to Radmilovac, so that the living world is provided with water and small lakes were made, so other parts can be reached via suspension bridges, of which there are many.
We start and reach the first place where domestic animals are kept. There were ducks, geese, goats, kids, rabbits...
Literally, we don't know what and who to approach first.

There we learned from the guide how this agricultural property was created, we fed the zeek and headed across the bridge to the next part.

We reached a building made of wood. At the entrance it was written that it was the Aquarium. We watched a movie there, then got to know the fish that are there. We were all most delighted with the white fish.

Let's go for a walk. We cross the bridge again and a surprise awaits us there. We will fish there. Of course it's sport fishing and we bring every fish back, but before that we kiss it and say "Sorry!"
As we walk, we enjoy the surrounding scenery.

After fishing, we have a break for lunch in a restaurant with a wonderful view.
I will try to convey it to you with photos.

Lunch is over and the children had time to have some fun playing.
A new tour was to turtles, swans, swamps with beautiful water lilies.
We ended the visit with a boat ride on the largest lake. Of course, we all had life jackets, but we didn't need them.

Honestly, this walk was memorable.
I hope you liked it too. If you ever come to Belgrade, ask where it is and come to Radmilovac.
Until the next walk, many greetings.

STOPStudents have really a great idea to make a place like this a lot of green space and nice animals free, love that idea 😍
