Traveling Exploration at Lugait Old Historical Road

Some of our place contains historical stories back from the past. I love to explore all beautiful and historical place just like this one and it was located at Barangay Calangahan Lugait, Misamis Oriental. This place is very historical and there are many interesting stories behind of this place specially during the times of our elders and ancestors.

As I gathered some information about the place, There was a camp of soldiers here in this area and as the years has past, the place was abandoned and covered with trees and grass. This is the boundary between two towns, the Municipality of Manticao and Lugait Misamis Oriental. There are a lot of changes of this area and it was totally abandoned no camp were build in here.

The only thing left in this area is this coconut plants standing here. Barangay Calangahan was once a camp areas. Now, it was already filled with many coconuts and other valuable plants. This was located in a small hill in the place and as I observed the place, the coconut plants grows very healthy and still not yet bare more fruits. The caretakers of this place lives far enough in this place that is why they can't guard this place everyday.

This road is very useful back in the past years but as the years has passed by, only few people walked in this days and this once a concrete road but because of the soil eroded, the concrete was completely covered and filled the road. According to the elders I asked about the place, this road was once a shortcut to all residents who lived near at this place.

The place was also already planted more banana just like this one. This banana is what we called, "Kantong". The fruit comes from this plant is very highly in demand here in our place and it is very expensive. I also noticed the leaves of this plant was all teared because of the strong winds that sometime happens on this place and its because it is near at the seashore and it is open field.

There are also many different kinds of stones located here in this place and most of it are already planted and grows many kinds of algae plants just like this one. This plants addens the beauty of the place and to me, it was very fascinating. Exactly 8 In the morning when I still continued my traveling blog and I found the place very attractive and relaxing.

I was very shocked when I seen this small place near at the place were I did my first exploration. The place was already filled with many garbage and I am very sad about it. For me I think this is a garbage sites and I hope it will clean it up to maintain the cleanliness of the place. It seems that the Local Government here did not notice this problems and I hope they will notice this.
