⛏️⛏️ "Hive Garden Journal|| Adding More Vegetables In My Simple Garden"⛏️⛏️

All of us like to grow different crops or vegetables in our yard or in our area. It relieves stress and can also be called exercise in our body. This is what I will share with you tonight, our gardening here at our place. Since our land is quite wide, so to make more use of it, we thought of making a simple garden and this was also answered by dad who should plant vegetables to reduce the cost. So earlier we started looking for good places to plant.

Because we love spicy chili, we thought of planting it. Actually, a kilo of chili peppers is very expensive here in our area and the other day, a kilo of chili hit 300 pesos here. Because our area is acidic, chili peppers are good here. First, we put the chili seed in the seedling and let it grow until it reaches 3 inches.

First we made a plot for it and then we planted it. Chili leaves are easily wilted when exposed to sunlight, so we put banana leaves to protect them from intense sunlight. I am happy because my chili plants are very healthy and I hope they will bear many fruits.

This is what we put banana seeds in. These banana stem skins look like this and it is very important for crops to prevent their leaves from burning due to sunlight. Banana seeds are also cold which also helps to maintain a cool area around the chili plant.

These are the seeds of what we call siling atsal or bell pepper in English. It can also be planted here in our area and we have tried to plant something like that before. In fact, we have already harvested twenty pieces of bell pepper here in our area. The process of planting it will not be immediately placed in the plot but it will be grown in the seed tray first.

Since there is no seedtray, our only way is to put it on a rotting coconut tree. We put soil and then we put seeds. It is good because it adds fertilizer to the soil. Chili peppers are easy to grow, all you have to do is keep the soil tilled and watered three times a week.

It's pumpkin seeds and it's one of our favorites to eat here at home. Some people don't like to eat pumpkin. It is also good to plant pumpkins here because the soil is very fertile because it is near the river. In order for the pumpkin to grow easily, the soil must always be tilled.

I should always check the flowers of my pumpkin if there are any and remove the insects that will land on them. The pumpkin tree can also be sprinkled with a little ash, but only a little, because it serves as fertilizer for the crops.

Because we love organic, we put only simple fertilizers such as bani, withered leaves, cow dung and small pieces of wood or wood chips. This is important because the soil is always fertile and the soil is not dry for cultivation. What we do with the banana seeds is put them in water and let them soak for up to three days.

Because it contains minerals such as zinc that helps vegetables or other plants to bear fruit and grow easily.

Because we are poor, we learned to garden to reduce the cost of the family's needs. I'm also very happy because I have a family that works hard and helps each other.

Wow! Pumpkin is one of my favorites fruits. They have many good side of giving the body with nutrients. You've really done a great job by making the nursery for pumpkin seeds. Thanks so much.

Growing organic and using natural materials to add vitamins and minerals to the soil is the way more people should go about growing anything.

I was wondering what you used for the canopy over the chili plants until I read a little further. What a great idea and it didn't cost you a dime.

Whenever I see that a gardner is growing chili peppers I think of another #hivegardner, @zekepickleman, he absolutely loves hot peppers and I'm not sure he could live without them. As he says the hotter the better, he may just breathe fire.

Good luck with everything you got going on in your garden including the cannabis.

Haha it is true!

Even in this northern climate, I find peppers so resilient I don't have to do anything but throw them in the ground (churned garden soil with a blast of compost and chicken shit) and fertilize them once a month with organic tomato fertilizer. Chilis, cayenne, jalapeno, habanero, Hungarian wax and the menacing Carolina reaper! Everyone could grow them but be careful with the morugas and scorpions!

Everyone may be able to grow them but few would be able to eat them.

Scorpions are very dangerous. Animal manure is very perfect as organic fertilizer in all vegetables, I used many times. ☺️

Same as I am my friend. I love eating chilli, this is a lind of appetizers and good for food. That is true, the hotter the better and because it is hot, just like breathing fire. 🤭
