Mindanao, Produces more coconuts and some of it are being export to other places. Some of the coconuts are being sell in copra or in whole. One of the place that produce more coconuts is here in Manticao, Misamis Oriental and in fact, our land was already planted with many coconut trees and approximately numbered 400 coconut trees already.

We always harvested every two months and sometimes we harvested more than 3,000 pieces of coconuts. Yesterday, we decided to do harvesting here in our place and we want to finished instantly before the bad weather comes. We are so very happy and proud that there are already many coconut trees are already in harvest and we are very thankful because the land is very fertile and good for this valuable plants and or crops.

This are some of the coconuts we harvested and it is very big and perfect to sell. In order to pick it all immediately and with no hassle, we gathered the coconuts in one place and it needs a lot of time before we pick and gathered all of this. Luckily, Me and My Father are working together gathering the coconut fruits while the harvester are also doing Their job to cut and fall the coconuts to the ground.

This coconuts will be transfer to other place across the river so that the buyer can easily get this through his big vehicle use for getting coconuts, banana and even the coconut shell. As the weather bureau says about the weather monitoring, there will having a bad weather just like low pressure expecting to enter the Philippine area and Mindanao is one of the were the low pressure will hit. We are so very worried about it because the hauling of coconuts are not yet finished. We started to do harvesting at exactly 8 In the morning and I am very happy the workers are working flexible. This coconut trees we have here was already grown 26 years already.

This pile of coconut branches or what we called "Palwa" serve us as a firewood and this is very important to all of us here. We used this for cooking food, boiling water, cooking rice, fences and also for selling this to the public Market. First, we removed the coconut leaves and we put just like this one so that ot can easily dried and can be abled to use for different kitchen porpuses. We deiced to put a bamboo between the two coconuts and I carefully placed the "Palwa" one-by-one.

This is what Im talking about, some of the firewood we got from the coconuts were making as fence. We cut some of the coconut branches and put in the side of the old fence. Some people used this kind of firewood as decorations. With the help of this firewood, our vegetables and ornamental plants are already secured because of the branches we put in my simple hive garden. I started to cut in equal length of firewoods and I will sell it next day, the first thing I meed to do is to look for a buyer and the products must be presentable.

The coconut leaves will be used as broomsticks that is why my Partner doing for making broomstick. We called this one, "Bagos", a process on which we removed the leaves from the sticks. This kind of thing is very highly demand to the Public Market and each bundle can cost 45 Pesos. This is very important by cleaning houses, surroundings, pig pen. It needs more time before we can gathered more broomsticks. When the bundle of Broomsticks will turn into many and I will sell this to the Public market. There are many people searching and buying this kind products so that the place will always be clean.

It is very fun living in the Province just like this one and also, I am very proud to have this kind of valuable crops.

Hello, we are also one of those who make money from coconut copra and sometimes we sell it whole for 10 pesos each. And we also make a broom so that we don't have to buy at the market. 😍😍😍 I love it and thanks for sharing.
