🧤🧤Coastal Clean Up Drive🧤🧤

Yesterday, the Barangay Employees conducted a meeting about cleaning activity near at the coastal area. Everyone are agreed of the meeting agenda including the Barangay Officials of Manticao, Misamis Oriental. They set the time when they will be started and what materials would be brought during the cleaning activities. Every coastal cleaning activity, it should be done on non-working day, just like Saturday or Sunday. This morning, the cleaning up activity in the coastal area was started, and all Barangay Employees are there cleaning the place. Each individual brought some broomsticks, dustpan, long sticks, empty sack used for garbage disposal and other cleaning materials.

Everybody was very happy and enjoyed about cleaning the coastal road. Our Barangay Captain was also there leading the clean up drive of the place. He was very thankful to all employees who participated and joined the said activities and he also added that in this kind of activities, it can keep maintaining the cleanliness of the place, particularly the coastal area. Residents in the place was also volunteering and help to clean the area. Some of the garbage they collected are biodegradable materials, that is why they decided to put in the empty sack and put in a big garbage compost pit. This will help to make and turn into organic fertilizer use for plants such like vegetables and fruit trees.

Each employees have their own place or designated place to clean, in this way the work will done immediately. They also collected plastic materials just like empty plastic bottles, gallons and other non-biodegradable materials. This will be recycled and used into flowering pots. The said plastic bottles is very important and it can beautify the place particularly the place at Barangay Hall.

Here in this coastal area, I observed the place why there are many garbage can be found here and as I found out, near at this area is the beach resorts. The garbage was taken by the dog and brings or transferred to other place. Some of the garbage will flashed away through the waves and brought to other parts of the place. There are also woods we collected during our cleaning up activity, and this is very important as firewood for cooking foods. The residents are badly needed of the firewoods for cooking food that is why they decided to get and dried under the heat of the sun.

The cleaning activity was reached at the time of 12:10 In the afternoon. We decided to to buy food for our lunch just like pork, softdrinks, hardrinks. While others cook more rice for everyone. We plan to grilled some pork for our lunch because this is also one of our favorite food. Eating at shoreline is very perfect because it is cool, have over view sceneries and very windy. We do grilled pork and after that, we set a small table so that the cook grilled pork will be placed properly.

Exactly 12:45 Pm when we finished cleaning the place, everybody gathered at the table. We are very enjoyed eating our lunch while talking and laughing. This kind of simple activities can give a big good effect to the place. It will maintain the cleanliness of the place and many people will be amazed and love to visit the coastal road of Manticao,Misamis Oriental.
