I have been engaged in "Poikatsu" for many years—almost 20 years, though not continuously.

"Poikatsu" (short for "point activities" in Japanese) refers to earning small amounts of money or reward points by completing tasks like watching ads, using certain apps, or shopping through specific platforms. It was fun to see my points add up just by tapping on my phone while lying down, and I may have even felt a small sense of accomplishment.

In the past, I used to redeem my points as cash via bank transfers. In recent years, I started using them to invest in stocks and mutual funds. Sometimes I even purchase Bitcoin with my accumulated points.

However, yesterday I suddenly thought, "I'm going to quit".

When I calculated how many points I was earning per month, the total was about 3,000 to 4,000 yen. I realized that I was spending a huge amount of time on meaningless tasks such as playing ad videos I had no interest in or downloading and launching apps I had no intention of using just for that. Perhaps it's because I'm doing all of this with one hand, but I feel like I'm also losing focus on other things that I really need to be doing.

So I took the plunge and deleted all the apps for earning points.

This should give me a lot of time back. Maybe I can read a book, watch a movie, or sleep more. I could potentially make more money by focusing more on the Hive blog, and it's much more creative than browsing ads and earning points. I still want more stocks and bitcoins... but I'll work more and earn more salary to buy them 🦾🦾

私のポイ活歴はかなり長くて、おそらく20年近くになります。

20年間ずっとというわけではありませんが、やっている期間の方が長かったと思います。寝っ転がってケータイをポチポチするだけで、1円でも2円でも貯まっていくのが楽しかったし、達成感もあったのかもしれません。以前は貯めたポイントは銀行振り込みで受け取っていましたが、ここ数年は株や投資信託の購入に充てるようになりました。ビットコインを買うこともありました。

ですが、昨日ふと、「もうやめよう」と思いました😅

月々どれくらいのポイントを得られているのか計算してみると、合計でだいたい3,000円～4,000円ほど。たったそれだけのために興味のない広告動画を再生したり、使う気のないアプリをダウンロード＆起動したりと、意味のない作業に膨大な時間を費やしていることに気づきました。しかも、それを片手間でやっているせいか、他の本当にやるべきことへの集中力も削がれている気がします。

そこで、思い切ってポイ活アプリをすべて削除しました。

これでかなりの時間を取り戻せるはず。本を読んだり、映画を観たり、もっと眠ったりできるかもしれません。数千円なら、Hiveブログを真面目に書いた方が稼げる可能性があるし、ポイ活よりずっとクリエイティブですよね。。株もビットコインもまだまだ欲しいけど・・・パート増やして買おうと思います🦾🦾
