We all are searching for just that one person

We are all looking and searching for love, love that will stand the test of time, love that will make us proud of who we choose, love that will be there even when there is a reason to leave. Love that will not become depressing and exhausting, love that won't be one-sided and empty with promises that can not hold water.

We are all in search of that one person who will give their shoulders when we need a shoulder to lean on, that one person who will lend their hands to us to be held when walking on sloppy and slippery roads.

That one person who isn't tired of hearing our complaints and does not tell us we nag just because we are pouring our heartfelt challenges to them, that one person who makes our hearts flick when we see them, that one whose pictures and messages bring a smile to our face

We are in search of that person who is our emotional, physical, financial, and psychological support in the little ways they can. That person who can not hide their smile just looking at our face. We are all in search of genuine love.

Love that isn't perfect but do their best, put their best, and do the little things that matter to their partner. We are in search of that one person who has flaws and never hides them, but works on their strength to become a better person for themselves and their partners.

That one person whose flaws are our strengths and our flaws are their strength, someone who is ready to be patient and willing to see us grow and become who we intend to be without the fault of us neglecting them. We are all in search of that one person and I hope one day we all find that one person for ourselves and cherish them the same way we cherish ourselves.
