Brace Yourself

Not everyone will be with you forever, most people will only be there for a certain time, season, and period and once the time is up, they leave your life like they never existed in your world at a point in time.

Over time, in the course of our living on planet Earth, bridges will be burnt and new ones will emerge, while those that have existed will just need to be refurbished from time to time, to avoid letting those who are not meant to stay in our lives longer for too long or more than expected.

Be ready to lose people, be ready to forgo most relationships or friendships because people change. Many people have been disappointed because, at some point in time, they felt they knew and had knowledge about a certain person making them have higher expectations.

I hope we get to understand that humans will always remain human no matter who they are to us, they have the tendency to act based on their instinct, conscious and subconsciousness, selfishness, interest, greed, and whatnot. So, in as much as we should have cycles of friends or people, let's not forget that not all of them will remain with us, and not all of our relationships or friendships will stand the test of time.

It is important we see them as humans and also understand that in as much as they are our trusted allies, one day they could walk away with no reason, one day they could decide to be on the fence instead of having our shoulder, one day they could decide to put their selves and interest first without considering us or others and that is because they are human.

So, brace yourself, equip yourself, learn what needs to be learned, be your safe place, and be your best companion just in case when that time comes and you are left alone, you will not feel stranded, helpless, hopeless, and lonely.

Humans will always behave as humans because they have the traits of good and bad, they choose who or what to be at a certain time and with certain people, notwithstanding who you are to them at the moment.
