Segunda celebración de cumpleaños a oscuras (ESP-ENG)

Un placer volver a esta amistosa y maravillosa comunidad. Recientemente cumplí años y mi tía (quien desde que nací ha preparado cada una de mis tortas de cumpleaños) me regaló una torta de tres leches para celebrar mi cumpleaños y compartirla con mis familiares y amigos. Ahora, el día de mi cumpleaños mi jefe me envió de sorpresa una torta de fresas con crema chantilly, así que como la tres leches se puede conservar bien en nevera le pedí que la guardara para el fin de semana.

Este sábado nos reunimos para comerla. La idea era comer rico, tomarnos un vino y picar la torta de tres leches pero hubieron algunas complicaciones. La comida no llego, se fue la luz al llegar a la casa (el dia de mi cumpleaños también me tocó celebrar a oscuras, nos reímos hablando de saboteo), así que solo nos quedó brindar a la luz de las linternas (no había velas) y reirnos mientras comíamos la torta.

La torta estaba divina. He probado muchísimas tres leches, pero ninguna como la de mi tia. No es empalagosa y quieres comértela toda de una sentada (todos repitieron, solo me quedo un pedacito escondido para merendar).

Con contratiempos y todo, estoy feliz por mi cumpleaños y porque todo salió bonito. Reí y fui feliz en compañía de los que amo.

A pleasure to return to this friendly and wonderful community. I recently had my birthday and my aunt (who since I was born has baked every one of my birthday cakes) gave me a tres leches cake to celebrate my birthday and share with my family and friends. Now, on my birthday my boss sent me a surprise strawberry cake with whipped cream, so since the tres leches can be kept well in the fridge I asked her to save it for the weekend.

This Saturday we got together to eat it. The idea was to eat delicious food, have some wine and nibble on the tres leches cake but there were some complications. The food didn't arrive, the power went out when we got home (the day of my birthday I also had to celebrate in the dark, we laughed talking about sabotage), so the only thing left was to toast by flashlight (there were no candles) and laugh while eating the cake.

The cake was divine. I've had lots and lots of tres leches, but none like my tia's. It's not cloyingly sweet and you want to be able to taste it. It's not cloying and you want to eat it all in one sitting (everyone repeated, I only had a little piece hidden for a snack).

With setbacks and all, I'm happy for my birthday and because everything turned out beautifully. I laughed and was happy in the company of those I love.
