SMAP CONTEST 276 - The Tarictic Hornbill

Another chance to share with you some of the avaian species I saw during my visit to the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden last March. I have shared quite a number already starting with the Rufous Night Heron, then the Palawan Peacock Pheasant, then the Double Wattled Cassowary and lastly the Golden or Chinese Pheasant. This time it's the Tarictic Hornbill. The photo below describes this large feathered friend which is endemic in the Philippines.

It was a big enclosure and at the time I was there the hornbill was at the far end so I had to be content with these photos from afar. And also, my cellphone's battery was getting quite low so I was conserving it so I can take pictures of the others.
