Terremoto en Venezuela: 7 días después, 7 fotos de esperanza desde la cotidianidad / Earthquake in Venezuela: 7 days later, 7 photos of hope from everyday life
Hello hivers. A week has already passed since the devastating double earthquake that struck several states in Venezuela 💔😞. These have been days filled with deep sadness, anxiety, uncertainty, and fear, but also with great solidarity, empathy, faith, and hope. Those 39 seconds left an indelible mark on the lives of thousands of men, women, and children directly affected, as well as on all Venezuelans, both here and abroad. To this day, people and animals are still being found alive among the the rubble, filling us with hope and gratitude, while the death toll has surpassed two thousand, the number of those rescued is approaching 6,500, a battle of life over death 🙌🏻🙏🏻.
When an event of such magnitude and devastation occurs, pain, sadness, and desolation begin to take hold of us, of our emotions and thoughts. This is not wrong, it's normal to feel this way in situations like the one we experienced that day. However, we can't allow those feelings to control our attitude, we must find strength and optimism, even in the darkest hours. Observing nature is the best way to hold onto hope, she constantly teaches us to live in the present, to reinvent ourselves, and to move forward in spite of everyone and everything. Today, I want to share some simple photos that connect me with that feeling, so essential during these moments of deep reflection and introspection.

We had a few interesting experiences at home before, during, and after the earthquake. One involved a bottle of rum sitting on the cabinet where we keep some alcoholic beverages, it fell from a height of over a meter but didn't break. A neighbor said that was something worth celebrating, and without a second thought, my sister grabbed the bottle and took a drink hahaha. Perhaps this bottle, which survived the fall, did so to remind us that being alive should always be a reason to celebrate and be grateful for 🙌🏻🙏🏻.
