Pequeñas formas de vida en el parque 🦋🦎🐌 / Small forms of life in the park 🦋🦎🐌

Saludos hivers. En el parque al que voy todos los domingos hay muchísimos árboles, plantas y vegetación, pero también hay mucha vida animal, insectos, pequeños y medianos mamíferos, reptiles, arácnidos, aves e incluso uno de los marsupiales de sudamérica como lo es la zarigueya (Didelphis marsupialis). Este último no te tenido aún la suerte de verlo ya que sus hábitos suelen ser nocturnos, las aves se me hace algo complicado hacerles fotos con el celular y sin un lente de acercamiento 😕, y de los mamíferos puedo decirles que he visto varios pero son tan rápidos y esquivos que pocas veces puedo hacerles una buena foto 🥴😂🤷🏻‍♀️, así que los insectos, los reptiles y los arácnidos se han vuelto mis favoritos ya que son los únicos que se dejan hacer fotos jajaja, aunque sea sin darse cuenta, así que son los protagonistas de este #sublimesunday, iniciativa creada por @c0ff33a.

Hello hivers. The park I visit every Sunday is full with trees, plants, and vegetation, but it's also home to abundant wildlife insects, small and medium-sized mammals, reptiles, arachnids, birds, and even a South American marsupial, the opossum (Didelphis marsupialis). I haven't been lucky enough to spot the opossum yet, as they are generally nocturnal, photographing birds is tricky for me using just a mobile phone without a zoom lens 😕, and while I’ve seen various mammals, they are so fast and elusive that I rarely manage to get a good shot 🥴😂🤷🏻‍♀️. Consequently, insects, reptiles, and arachnids have become my favorites, simply because they’re the only ones that let me take photos of them hahaha, even if they don't realize it. They are the stars of this #sublimesunday post, an initiative created by @c0ff33a.

En vez de lamentarme por no poder tener un equipo profesional para hacerle fotos a la gran variedad de aves que viven en este hermoso parque, me enfoco en lo que sí está a mi alcance, los insectos y todo lo que anda en el suelo, entre la vegetación y los troncos caídos o sobre los árboles pero a baja altura. Como podrán apreciar, algunas fotos pertenecen a insectos y otras a lo que ellos van dejando atrás como colmenas o caparazones viejos.

Instead of lamenting that I lack professional gear to photograph the wide variety of birds living in this beautiful park, I focus on what is within my reach, insects and everything else moving along the ground, amidst the vegetation and fallen logs, or on trees at a low height. As you can see, some photos are of the insects themselves, while others capture what they leave behind, such as hives or discarded shells.

Otro de los habitantes que abunda en el parque son las lagartijas, aunque no son nada fáciles de fotografiar, tengo una conexión muy especial y particular con estos amiguitos y también con los geckos, y siempre se detienen a posar para mi 😃😏, lo cual me encanta porque son animales fascinantes. En este bosque también hay una gran variedad de serpientes, tanto especies venenosas como inofensivas, aún no he tenido la suerte de ver ninguna pero tengo amigos que sí las han visto y me han mostrado fotos y videos. Otra especie con la que hay que tener mucho cuidado es el caracol gigante africano, hay que evitar todo tipo de contacto con ellos y dejarlos tranquilos ya que transmiten parásitos muy peligrosos para el ser humano.

Another creature that abounds in the park is the lizard, although they aren't at all easy to photograph, I have a very special, unique connection with these little friends, as well as with geckos, and they always stop to pose for me 😃😏, which I love because they are fascinating animals. This forest is also home to a wide variety of snakes, both venomous and harmless species. I haven't been lucky enough to see any myself yet, but I have friends who have, and they’ve shown me photos and videos. Another species to be very careful around is the giant African snail, you should avoid any contact with them and leave them alone, as they carry parasites that are very dangerous to humans.

A diferencia de las aves y los animales más grandes que me hacen sentir su presencia apenas entro al parque y los puedo ver fácilmente sobre los árboles o entre la vegetación del bosque como las aves, las ardillas y los picures o agutís (Dasyprocta fuliginosa), los habitantes más pequeños requieren que sea más observadora y detallista para notar que están cerca, muchas veces ahí justo frente a mí, es como la naturaleza nos enseña a detenernos para aprender a apreciar también lo más pequeño ya que en todo hay belleza 💚.

Unlike the birds and larger animals, such as squirrels and agoutis (Dasyprocta fuliginosa), that make their presence known the moment I enter the park and are easily spotted in the trees or amidst the forest foliage, the smaller inhabitants require me to be more observant and attentive to detail to notice their proximity, often, they are right there in front of me. It's nature’s way of teaching us to pause and learn to appreciate even the smallest things, because there is beauty in everything 💚.
