La Zinia y la mariposa 🏵️🦋 / The Zinnia and the Butterfly 🏵️🦋

Saludos hivers. Caminar por la ciudad y encontrarme con hermosas flores es algo que me alegra inmediatamente, pero, si sobre algunas de esas flores hay una mariposa, la alegría es mucho mayor 🌻🦋😃. Y precisamente eso fue lo que me pasó hace unos días atrás, yo pasaba por la plaza y desde lejos ví unos vibrantes colores, eran unas flores de zinia (Zinia peruviana), pero no estaban solas, una linda mariposa las acompañaba revoloteando entre una y otra.

Hello hivers. Walking through the city and coming across beautiful flowers is something that immediately cheers me up, but if there's a butterfly on one of those flowers, the joy is even bigger 🌻🦋😃. And that's precisely what happened to me a few days ago. I was walking through the plaza and from afar, I saw some vibrant colors. They were zinnia flowers (Zinia peruviana), but they weren't alone, a beautiful butterfly accompanied them, fluttering between one and another.

Obviamente que para cualquier amante de hacer fotos de la naturaleza, como yo, una ocasión así no se puede desperdiciar, así que saqué mi teléfono y con cuidado me fuí acercando para lograr unas buenas tomas 📸. Pensé que la mariposa se iba a asustar pero a ella no pareció importarle en lo absoluto mi presencia, bueno, esto es algo que me suele suceder con frecuencia con los insectos jejeje, o les simpatizo o será que me vuelvo invisible para ellos sin darme cuenta 🤔😅.

Obviously, for any nature photography lover like me, an opportunity like this can't be missed, so I took out my phone and carefully got closer to get some good shots 📸. I thought the butterfly was going to get scared but it didn't seem to mind my presence at all, well, this is something that often happens to me with insects hehehe, either they like me or I become invisible to them without realizing it 🤔😅.

La protagonista de esta sesión de fotos en los jardines de la plaza Ribas, es una mariposa espejito (Agraulis vanillae), le dicen así porque las manchas plateadas sobre sus alas brillan como pequeños espejos con el reflejo del sol. A estas lindas criaturas aladas les encantan las flores ya que se alimentan de su néctar, y es por eso que es común verlas volando entre los jardines, bosques y espacios abiertos que estén floridos.

The star of this photoshoot in the gardens of Plaza Ribas is a mirror butterfly (Agraulis vanillae), so named because the silver spots on her wings shine like tiny mirrors in the sunlight. These beautiful winged creatures love flowers because they feed on their nectar, which is why it's common to see them flying through gardens, forests, and open spaces filled with flowers.

Mientras yo intentaba no pisar la grama y mantener el equilibrio para poder hacer buenas fotos, la mariposa disfrutaba del delicioso néctar de esas zinias sin importarle el mundo a su alrededor, al final, las dos quedamos satisfechas, ella con su comida y yo con mis fotos jejeje.

While I tried not to step on the grass and keep my balance so I could take good photos, the butterfly enjoyed the delicious nectar of those zinnias without caring about the world around her. In the end, we were both satisfied, she with her food and I with my photos, hehe.
